Located in the central area of Oita City, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Oita offers modern accommodations with free Wi-Fi at the entire property. There is a Lawson store on one floor. The breakfast is good, and the menu includes mentaiko and fried chicken. The Wifi speed is fast.

Right on Beppu Bay, Umino Hotel Hajime offers public hot spring baths and free WiFi. Rooms feature a traditional Japanese decor and a private bathroom with hot spring water. Location was excellent, next to the sea and eateries all around. Love the private onsen in the room with sea view.

Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu boasts a spacious public bathing area including natural hot spring baths and open-air baths. It is just a 10-minute walk from JR Beppu Station. great location if your using bus transportion from the airport. when i arrived by bus, i was surprised that the hotel was right in front of me! it was also nice not having the rush to my bus when i left. also it's across the street from a shopping mall, conbini, and chain restaurants. the breakfast was pretty good as well. the staff were very nice. the train station is only a 15 min slow paced walk. but you are close to popular onsen. i would stay here again!
