The staff were so friendly. The food and drinks were excellent. We did the Arrack tasting at Rope Walk bar and it was enjoyable and informative. It was a great location for getting around Galle and having a pool was also an added bonus.

We had a very clean and comfortable stay in Seagreen with a newly renovated bathroom, strong AC and good location within Galle Fort. Shower gel, shampoo & conditioner were provided, which was a pleasant surprise. A kettle and jug of water was provided. Water is refillable at a cost of LKR 200. They have a menu for food, drinks and activities, although we didn't try any of them as the prices were quite steep. We rose early so the noise from the school children didn't really affect us.

This elegant property is 2.8 km from Galle Light house, 2.9 km from the historical Galle Fort and 3.1 km from Dutch Church Galle. The views from the property were absolutely amazing! We could just hang out by the pool in the morning and watch the peacock and monkeys fool around which was a blast. The room was perfect with high ceilings, an abundance of natural sunlight (can shade if you want), and as clean as can be. The host and staff couldn’t have been more kind! They helped arrange rides, provided local dining options, activities to consider…pretty much you name it! The breakfast spread we had in the morning was, without question, the best we had during our trip! We couldn’t have been happier with the little time we were able to have there & we owe it all to the amazing people running it!!! ☺️

I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. It is a three minute walk to the Unawatuna Beach and a 15 minute drive away from the historic 16th - 17th century Galle Fort. There are not many properties where all points you can give are actually not enough, but the Sergeant House is such a place. We stayed in the 3-Bedroom-Villa with our kids and had a fantastic time. It’s literally impossible to say what we have enjoyed more, the attention given to us by the staff or the amazing property. We are definitely looking forward to repeat this experience again.

Sri Lankan architectural master piece Dunes Unawatuna hotel is an eco friendly boutique hotel near the beautiful Unawatuna beach(100 meters/ 5min walk away).

Dunes has 10 garden-view ac rooms and a 2 bed room ac cottage in its peaceful and tranquil setting. It was an extraordinary clean, well-maintained and lovely designed room with high quality furniture. The staff was very friendly and the food lovely.

Roman Beach offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, high ceilings and views of the sea. Located on Hikkaduwa Beach, it presents an outdoor pool and a private beachfront. Free parking is available. Small hotel with a fantastic pool and next to the sea. Room was big and had a fantastic sea view. Beach in front is nice for a swim, no rocks. Acces directly from the hotel. Staff was really nice, breakfast and dinner were great. Last night the chef prepared a special dinner for us next to the sea with fresh fish and seafood. Wonderful experience. Totally recommended!

Ridee Villa is a 2-minute walk from the Unawatuna Diving Centre. Galle City is a 10-minute drive. A 15-minute drive leads to Galle Fortress Castle. Colombo International Airport is 110 km away. Ridee Villa is absolutely gorgeous! So much attention to detail. Great location and walking distance to everything. Excellent service and the owner went out of his way to do whatever was needed. I definitely would stay again!

The staff does an incredible job making you feel comfortable, safe and taken care of at all times. The food was consistently great and their beach restaurant provides a beautiful view with every meal. This was for sure a five star hotel experience!
