The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... Wonderful stay in the Grand Apartment room. A beautifully, clean large room, full of old, well restored, tasteful furniture from long ago. The place oozes with history and character and the service was outstanding. The pool is lovely and the outside front and back verandas for breakfast and for an evening drink are idyllic.

Villa Amma Erna welcomes its guests with an outdoor pool and free internet access. It features contemporary interiors and stylish fan-cooled guestrooms. My stay in Villa Amma Erna was delightful. Everything was clean and the stuff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing and consisted of local and homemade products. All in all my stay was very pleasant and the owner is very nice. I would totally go there again!

I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. A beautiful hotel in an old building. Interesting details. Amazing staff and location. There were always about 5 people in the hotel, but it was always quiet and comfortable. I definitely recommend

Sri Lankan architectural master piece Dunes Unawatuna hotel is an eco friendly boutique hotel near the beautiful Unawatuna beach(100 meters/ 5min walk away). It’s very nice and clean. Super friendly staff.

Roman Beach offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, high ceilings and views of the sea. Located on Hikkaduwa Beach, it presents an outdoor pool and a private beachfront. The hotel is small and cozy located right on the beach. The size of the room is generous and they were cleaned well. We had some amazing food at the restaurant: banana pancakes, fruits, curd, lobster with seafood, kottu. The attention and services the staff gives is unparalleled in all my travels - they will give you flowers when you make photos, escort you to car at 4am, run to give you umbrella or help with moving sun beds. Thanks to all people that made our stay so joyful and memorable and sorry that I forgot your names so I can mention you.

Located at middle of the Unawatuna Bay. Ridee Villa offers air-conditioned rooms with an en suite bathroom. The property features a restaurant and free Wi-Fi. Best accommodation we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! The owner takes care of everything, the staff is amazing. The entire place looks amazing!

Suite Lanka sits on the sands of Hikkaduwa Beach, one of the widest beaches on Sri Lanka’s west coast. Offering spacious accommodation, it has an outdoor pool and restaurant. I love that it is a small enough hotel that you get a personal touch from the staff. It has everything you need to relax and have a truly chilled experience yet the facility feels levels above the surrounding hotel options. The restaurant (Olins) is incredible and was so good that we only chose to eat outside of the hotel on a couple of occasions.
