The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... The property is beautiful and well maintained. We loved the customer service, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Authentic colonial atmosphere with old doors, old windows and some touches of modern style (lamps, chairs in the restaurant). All matches very well - really a gorgeous piece of interior architecture. Friendly, caring and attentive staff! Huge room , relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast - you can choose continental or Sri Lanken and get it served. We had Sri Lanken and it was excellent. You can also choose in which of their lovely seating areas you want to be served. So much individuality Treatment was like in a 5 star hotel ! Would have loved to stay much longer! Hotel itself would be a reason to come back to Galle

Located at the Galle Fort, Seagreen Guesthouse - Galle Fort provides affordable accommodation. Guests enjoy free WiFi access and comfortable rooms fitted with air conditioning. The guesthouse is right in front of the Dutch Fort and you can see the sea from the terrace. The room was cozy, the place was super clean. The Dutch market was a short walk from the guesthouse. I loved staying there and when I return to Galle which i will because I loved it, I'll make sure to stay here. Also a cute dog named Pirate is a bonus.

Villa Amma Erna welcomes its guests with an outdoor pool and free internet access. It features contemporary interiors and stylish fan-cooled guestrooms. My stay in Villa Amma Erna was delightful. Everything was clean and the stuff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing and consisted of local and homemade products. All in all my stay was very pleasant and the owner is very nice. I would totally go there again!

I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan architectural master piece Dunes Unawatuna hotel is an eco friendly boutique hotel near the beautiful Unawatuna beach(100 meters/ 5min walk away). Comfortable, clean hotel with great location near to the Unawatuna beach. The staff was polite and helpful. I would say it was one of the best hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka. We had a room with a king-size bed.

Roman Beach offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, high ceilings and views of the sea. Located on Hikkaduwa Beach, it presents an outdoor pool and a private beachfront. Very supportive staff and nice location

Located at middle of the Unawatuna Bay. Ridee Villa offers air-conditioned rooms with an en suite bathroom. The property features a restaurant and free Wi-Fi. We were made to feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Sumith and his team were wonderful and the chef served a wonderful breakfast and we had the best Sri Lanka curry whilst there. The hotel is so close to the beach, towels and mats are provided. The swimming pool was perfect for us, clean and relaxing, free rides to local beaches and Galle were available and the hotel is beautiful with interesting artefacts. The highlight was to meet Sumith's family and hear his niece serenade us. THANK YOU

Suite Lanka sits on the sands of Hikkaduwa Beach, one of the widest beaches on Sri Lanka’s west coast. Offering spacious accommodation, it has an outdoor pool and restaurant. I just loved this place.. absolutely incredible
