Hotel Sigiriya ligt in de Culturele Driehoek van Sri Lanka, die op de werelderfgoedlijst van de UNESCO staat. The pool was absolutely stunning and kept in pristine condition by the hardworking pool staff. It was a pleasure to swim and relax in such a well-maintained environment. As for the views, they were simply breathtaking and unparalleled. Whether I was in my room or exploring the property, I couldn't help but be in awe of the incredible vistas. And let's not forget about the breakfast – it was truly mouthwatering! The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, and it was the perfect way to start the day.

This was our second stay at Ashburnham Estate, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. There’s a rare quality to this place—an effortless elegance and warmth that welcomes you the moment you arrive. The landscape is breathtaking, with rolling hills, and quiet, expansive views. Every detail of the experience feels considered, from the beautifully curated interiors to the gentle rhythm of each day. The food was exceptional, and prepared and served with genuine hospitality. Ashburnham offers not just a break from the everyday, but a complete shift in pace. The whole fteam is gracious and attentive without ever being intrusive, and their warmth and professionalism enhanced the sense of calm and care. I travel a lot, and I don’t believe there’s anywhere quite like it, thank you Vish, Daniel and the team! We will return again I’m sure!

De Arika Villa biedt een buitenzwembad, een sauna en uitzicht op de rustige, groene natuur. U kunt er verblijven in comfortabele kamers met airconditioning en eigen terrassen. Zeer betrokken personeel die tot het uiterste gaan voor de klant. Ze gaven aan dat ze geen alcohol meer in huis hadden, waarop wij aangaven daar wel behoefte aan te hebben. Er werd wijn en bier voor ons gehaald. We wilden nog wat doen om de dag op te vullen, waarop het personeel een village tour voorstelde. We hebben een rondje door het buurtschap gelopen wat leuk was om te zien hoe de locals wonen. De curries waren heerlijk en het hotel ligt lekker in het groen!
