They take the time to make you feel welcome and make sure your stay at the Diplomat is beyond expectations. We especially enjoyed the welcome drink and snacks. The staff is exceptional...Laura made us feel so welcomed at the Diplomat. The rooms are so nicely decorated and the grounds are stunning. It truly is a paradise in Merida.

The breakfasts were innovative and delicious. The location was perfect for walking downtown or throughout the neighbourhood.

Our room was huge and so were the bathroom and the walk-in closet; also very clean. The pool is big and since there are only five rooms in the hotel one can pretty much have it all to themselves. If not, there are two more pools at the other adjacent hotel (same owner). The owner, Philippe, is very nice and has good recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast was very good with various choices, served by professional Franco (sorry, not sure of spelling).

The refreshing pool was a welcome retreat after a day of exploring, and the easy parking made coming and going a breeze. One of the highlights of my stay was the proximity to the center, allowing me to easily access all of Merida's historical tourist attractions. Plus, having the owner onsite added an extra layer of hospitality, as they were always available to offer friendly advice and assistance.

Surrounded by attractive gardens, it offers an à la carte restaurant and free parking. The hotel was in an incredibly pretty building right in the centre of Valladolid. Everything was very clean, staff was super friendly and the breakfast was amazing!
