The hotel grounds are beautiful, better than in the pictures. Our room was huge and so were the bathroom and the walk-in closet; also very clean. The pool is big and since there are only five rooms in the hotel one can pretty much have it all to themselves. If not, there are two more pools at the other adjacent hotel (same owner). The owner, Philippe, is very nice and has good recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast was very good with various choices, served by professional Franco (sorry, not sure of spelling).

The hotel itself was a beautiful and comfortable oasis, with tastefully decorated rooms and inviting common areas. The refreshing pool was a welcome retreat after a day of exploring, and the easy parking made coming and going a breeze. One of the highlights of my stay was the proximity to the center, allowing me to easily access all of Merida's historical tourist attractions. Plus, having the owner onsite added an extra layer of hospitality, as they were always available to offer friendly advice and assistance.

Hotel Mesón del Marqués se nahaja v kolonialni hiši iz 17. stoletja poleg parka Francisco Cantón. Obdajajo ga čudoviti vrtovi, ponuja pa restavracijo z jedmi po naročilu in brezplačno parkirišče. The hotel was in an incredibly pretty building right in the centre of Valladolid. Everything was very clean, staff was super friendly and the breakfast was amazing!
