Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities. We didn't pay too much attention when booking this accommodation, as we just wanted a place to rest for a night after the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and before driving to Wellington. What a lovely surprise this place was! I absolutely loved staying here - spacious and clean rooms, a comfortable bed and a covered terrace in front of the apartment. Even though we didn't get to use the kitchen, it was supplied with pretty much all apliences one would need. Some details I appreciated and haven't seen before were the parking spots next to every apartment and the Netflix account the apartment had for guests. The gardens were pretty and well kept. However, I have to admit that what helped tremendously with my experience at the Creel Lodge hotel was the beautiful and incredibly friendly cat that decided to make us his friends and waited for us to wake up the next morning in front of our door.

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and Free WiFi, Le Chalet Suisse Motel Taupo is just a 2-minute walk from New Zealand’s largest lake, Lake Taupo. Everything in this property was clean & we had room service every morning for the last 4 days we have stayed here. The receptionist man is very helpful too we are on our last day here & he has made our stay here an awesome one he helped us from the start up until our last day which was meant to be today but we enjoyed it so we added one more night because of their services and how helpful and clean they are, we also got the first room to the right so the view looking at the beach in the morning when the sunrise is up until it sets was one of my highlights and it's just close to all the shops and walking distance too. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay visiting Taupo, definitely wont be my last time here i'll be back for sure with the rest of my family one day.

Located on the edge of Lake Taupo, The Cove- On The Lake offers luxury rooms with satellite TV and either fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes. What a pleasure it was to stay at The Cove. The manager could not have been more accommodating, simply excellent service. The room was lovely, well appointed. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Just 2 minutes’ walk from Lake Taupo, Acapulco Motor Inn offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD player. We had a 2 bedroom hotel room. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was included. The hotel is in a nice location near the lake, free parking.

We loved our cottage. The kitchen had everything you would need, the first floor sitting area was very nice leading out to a private patio. Upstairs was another bedroom with large whirlpool tub. We sat out on the balcony each evening watching the beautiful sunset view. It is steps away from the lake. There is a very nice path there for a long walk. The owners were very helpful in getting us set up with a fishing trip the next day. Also, they provide a laundry - washing free and the dryer just $2.

Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort is just 800 metres from Lake Taupo crater lake. It has a natural thermal spa and is only 5 minutes' drive from the Taupo town centre. Free Wi-Fi is available. We really like that you can come and go to the pools all day, and that they are such a short walk from the rooms. We also like the chairs in the shade around the pools.

Suncourt Hotel & Conference Centre offers spectacular views of Lake Taupo and the volcanoes of Tongariro National Park. Really nice place and the room was very comfortable with nice sunset views!

Hilton Lake Taupo includes free pool and gym access and features views over Lake Taupo and is just minutes away from the town centre. It is a 15-minute drive from Taupo Airport. Amazing Breakfast, excellent service!! Enjoyed also restaurant for sometimes lunch or dinner, and have an excellent choice on menu, delicious food and fresh choice every day from the market!! Room was lovely, comfort bed, great view over Taupo and bathroom just stunning !!! Loved all the stay!! Everyone so nice, always with a smile and helpful!! Can recommend it 100%!!
