I had such a great experience staying at Claridge Star Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah! I booked a sea view room with a balcony and honestly, it was worth it. The room was super spacious, the washroom area was really clean and big, and they provided a complete set of amenities—which I really appreciate. The bed was sooo soft and comfy, and I loved that they have a smart TV too! Overall, the whole place gives off a luxury vibe.
The receptionists (I forgot their names!) were also really kind and approachable. I felt totally comfortable going to them if I had any concerns, and I never felt judged or awkward. They genuinely made the stay even better.
I’ll definitely stay here again. It truly felt like a luxury experience!

Great potential but some key issues.
Because of the ventilation, we had a strong smell of cigarette smoke getting into the room (none of us smoke). When you don’t smoke, that stuff is impossible to ignore.
The other issue was that the design of the room means that the AC will make the living room freezing cold but you will be sweating in the bed, which sucked.
Staff are very friendly and were apologetic and very nice, nothing against them.
Great location as well(definitely close to the main road and you can hear some of the cars) but I don’t think I’ll be staying there again, especially at that price point.

I like the 12th floor room view for the sea, the hotel is in the middle of the city and near malls, beaches, restaurants and supermarkets. The room included kettle and tea set, tv with many channels.
What I didn't really like was the bed, we needed a king size bed but ours was smaller, small dovet and the bed squeaks a lot in room 1215. We also found little cockroaches twice and never knew where did they come from.
What should be done for enhancement is extra pest control service and fix the bed. Also the mini bar didn't Cool enough rather than that we enjoyed our stay. House keeping should clean better under beds and furniture.
The swimming pool is suitable for kids and not deep. I tried eating in the restaurant and bar in ground floor, we ordered a really delicious pizza, very good dough and toppings.
Overall experience 8/10.
Value for price is affordable.

Staff were willing to help whenever we reported an anise to the best of their capabilities. The facilities and beach are good considering the price.

Much like its fellow emirates, Ras al Khaimah views the future as a world of opportunity, most evident in the capital city of the same name (also called Ra’s al Khaymah or RAK).
Although its skyline is not yet as dramatic as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, RAK still has plenty of skyscrapers, many housing hotels and apartments on Booking.com. Some overlook its long, sandy beach, alongside luxury resorts. Watersports activities include diving, and to the south-west is Ice Land waterpark.
Desert safaris are a great way to explore the rugged terrain behind the city, site of Al Sawan camel racetrack and Ras al Khaimah Airport. One of the world’s first spaceports is also planned to be out here.
Saqr Park on the capital’s outskirts is the largest UAE park, and the Tower Links Golf Club is another green spot by a lagoon joined to the sea via Ras al Khaimah Creek. The nearby beachfront Corniche is a popular picnic spot, with landscaped gardens and lots of boutiques and cafés.
More shops are in Manar Mall and the ‘Little India’ district of Al Nakheel. The old city has a bustling souk and the National Museum of Ras al Khaimah, housed in Al Hisn Fort. Another important sight is majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque with its 4 graceful minarets.

RAK is not just great for a short holiday but also a serious location to look at for those with family who want great value for money compared to more expensive Dubai
Al Hamra Village and Al Marjan Island are also some 15-20 miles closer to Dubai
With the Wynn Casino on Marjan Island, ready in a few years, momentum for this part of town will grow further.
Also not to be underestimated: the more pleasant weather in Summer due to mild Ocean breezes
For me as chess lover knowing Russian a bit no problem at all, but there are relatively large amounts of Russians there.
But they are mainly families and I didnt notice anything negative.

The Lexington Grill in the Waldorf Astoria in Rak Al Khaimah...
The Lexington Grill in the Waldorf Astoria in Rak Al Khaimah, definitely pricey but worth it if you like a steak, try the 1200 gr Tomahawk. Opt for a table outside, also a live singer and waiters were very attentive.
We also went Marjan Island to Claw BBQ Rak, an All American Diner, with old school arcade games. We played pool, darts, basket ball and had a go on the mechanical bull. There is also giant JENGA, table football, pin ball machines and at least 40 sports screens - there was also an outside area with sea views. It won a BBC Good Food Magazine award for the best casual dining restaurant in the Northern Emirates. (all the games and the bull were F.O.C, great value for families on a budget).
If you are still bored and have a free evening a visit to the Al Hamra Mall is worth it - where you will find VOX screens, an ultra modern cinema, with at least 10 screens, something for everybody. Take a jumper it can be chilly and the caramel popcorn is a must (and I didn't think I liked popcorn).
Ras is also worth visiting for the golf - try Al Hamra or Tower Links golf club, we had a good experience in both.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Anantara in Ras Al Khaimah, and overall, it was an amazing experience. The resort is beautifully designed, making it a perfect getaway for families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing staycation.
Unfortunately, we did encounter an issue during check-in. The receptionist was somewhat stubborn and disrespectful, which was disappointing. Thankfully, Salmon, the manager, stepped in to resolve the situation with remarkable understanding and professionalism.
The highlight of our mornings was undoubtedly Scott, who served breakfast with such kindness and attentiveness. His warm greetings set a wonderful tone for the day.
We also enjoyed a lovely buffet-style dinner at Sea Breeze, where the selection of food was incredible. The standout for me was the pistachio cake—absolutely unforgettable! My partner and I found ourselves talking about it long after we returned to work.
Dining at Mekong restaurant was another highlight of our stay. The ambiance was stunning, and the food was exceptional—definitely a must-try!
On the beach, the staff seemed to lack a sense of urgency, and unfortunately, the food we ordered was cold. This aspect could use improvement, as it detracted from the overall experience.
Despite these minor issues, Anantara is a beautiful resort that offers a memorable experience. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to unwind in a stunning setting.

Just checked out from Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah today and couldn't be happier! We had an extraordinary and amazing time. From the luxurious room to the impeccable service, everything exceeded our expectations. The stunning views, delicious dining options, and relaxing atmosphere made our stay truly unforgettable. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making this a perfect getaway.
This was our first time to stay in Rixos Bab Al Bahr. The hotel facilities is the major plus big pools, water slides that the kids loved, beach, kids club and amazing entertainment shows. Restaurants food quality and variety was good.
We really liked the beach, the large green area, and the well-prepared buffet, which is also suitable for children. The room cleaning was excellent, and overall, the hotel staff was pleasant—except for the reception team.
We were upgraded to a wider room with a balcony, and the view is amazing facing towards Rixos hotel. I like the outdoor pools. I can go anytime I want, and the staff supervising the pools is helpful.
