Drove along good roads from Bujtina to Kavaje, to get to Karpen beach is an interesting drive over a strange road bridge, the beach is sandy a shelves gently into the sea, Emara have their own section of the beach, we had a swim there and the water was fine. The hotel have terrace restaurant but as it was out of season only open for drinks and breakfast. We were checked in by Doris who upgraded us (we had 2 rooms) we were early but this was not a problem. Parking is okay but with a lot of vehicles gets a bit crowded. We elected to go into Kavaje for dinner to Wood flavour and asked Doris to arrange a taxi. In the end her brother Marvin took us and collected us for €20 which was perfect, it was also great to talk with him. The rooms were lovely with great view of the local island and sea, they both had balconies. The bathrooms were wet rooms a little difficult after a shower. There was a pool which looked super but we used the sea. Breakfast was excellent and our best breakfast in Albania, Both Doris and Marvin were lovely hosts who could speak good English. we left early to drive to Tirana Airport after a very good stay.

The room was awesome. However I'm not a fan of the thermostat being controlled by the reception desk. also I slipped on the wet tile in the bathroom and fell on my back. I think the Restaurant menu is a bit too limited, also it's pretty expensive. For me it's also a negative that the lunch and dinner menu is the same.
