We had a wonderful time at the Moos-Alm. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. We purchased only breakfast in advance, but ate dinner at the restaurant four out of our seven nights. The breakfast was outstanding, and generally made it possible to make a small sandwich for lunch (which was ideal for hiking). We noticed that most of the guests had booked "halbpension," and thus, had both breakfast and dinner pre-paid. The halbpension dinner was not generally on the menu, but we were offered items from it. The dinner was very good on the whole (with very large portions). The location is bucolic, approximately 1000 ft up a steep hill from the town, but is immediately next to a petting zoo and a zipline course. There were often school children at the zoo and zipline, which we found enjoyable, but be aware the rooster may have you up at dawn!
This luxury 5-star hotel offers an exclusive ambiance in the heart of the picturesque town of Lienz in East Tyrol, surrounded by the scenic mountains of the Lienz Dolomites.

Far exceeded our expectations. The view is postcard worthy, and the “nature pool” is magical. Didn’t realize this was an adults only (14+) property with “textile free” sauna/sky level (no clothes encouraged, but private saunas). The breakfast was the best we had our entire trip. White tablecloths with balcony dining overlooking the city of Lienz below and the Dolomites in the distance, and an expansive offering of yummy breakfast offerings. It seemed that nearly all of the rooms were situated to have the incredible view. Fantastic stay!
Framed by the beautiful panorama of the Lienz Dolomites, Parkhotel Tristachersee offers a romantic and exceptionally quiet location on a scenic lake in the forests, 2.5 mi south of Lienz.
Located in Rangersdorf, 30 miles from Roman Museum Teurnia, Hotel Mölltalerhof provides accommodations with a fitness center, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

The location (Rangersdorf) was a quiet village outside of Lienz. The views to the mountains were stunning and the environment was fresh and clean. It's a little way outside of a main city, but if you're looking for a quiet stay somewhere, this more than fits the bill.
The staff spoke English well, and the hotel was full of character, clean, and comfortable. For us breakfast was included and the range of food available was extensive. The bed was super comfortable!
The city is great for relaxation. The views are stunning and you are very close to good restaurants and shopping area, within 5 minutes drive. Kals Am Grossglockner ski lifts are within easy reach at 20 minutes drive.

I honestly picked this hotel because of the breakfast and it was very good. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at this hotel because there isn't much else open nearby in the evening. The views during breakfast were amazing, almost surreal, and we ended up taking many pictures.
