The location is the center of the city. Our room has view on the city square, church, mountain and the lake !! Also the host was very helpful and caring when my wife was feeling cold she provided extra heater to our room to make it extra warmer. It was a nice gesture, thank you !

Featuring a garden and views of river, Living History (adults only) is an apartment situated in a historic building in Hallstatt, 100 metres from Museum Hallstatt.

We loved the history of the property. Also I adore a Stone walls and the rocks. It was very comfortable and warm which surprised me. They’ve got it right. Lea was lovely and very knowledgeable. Thank you I would come back the village is like a fairy tale especially with the snow.

It is a breathtaking place, very beautiful and fits good for hikers. The people are really nice too. Prices are not too high, there are plenty of nice food places here and there. We didnt expect to hike a lot in winter, although the view is worst it.

I think it’s a beautiful town to visit in winter I think the Summer would be too congested. It’s very pretty. Worth visiting five fingers which is a point on top of the mountains where you get a cable car to the skiing resort. The only thing I would say is is very expensive for coffee and cakes the cakes are lovely and the coffees are lovely but be prepared to spend a lot of money. There is a lovely hotel at the bottom of the square it is bright yellow and the food is amazing in there. It’s stuck in a bit of a time warp with the music but the food is excellent and the staff can’t do enough for you.

We enjoyed visiting the salt mine and though we knew it was off season, it was hard to find a restaurant for an evening meal. All in all, though Hallstatt is beautiful, I would have been satisfied with a day trip from Salzburg. I think it would be a great location if you're into hiking in the mountains and the views were lovely.

Beautiful place, the views from Salzwelten (Salt Mines) view points are incredible, recommended tour! Take in consideration that the village is usually crowded and mostly one lane streets what make driving a bit difficult. Most of the places in front of the lake only accepts cash.

Hallstatt is an amazing place, totally worth it with all the views and hikes, and I was lucky with the weather considering that was November. However, the village is very small. You can visit the major highlights in 1 day and after 5 pm almost everything is closed. So, you need to be creative about what to do after that hour.

Hallstatt still retains its peaceful, traditional village character. The scenery is very beautiful and romantic. The night is quiet. The Skywalk and the Salt Mine are very interesting. The whole fish with salad at the Heritage Hotel is delicious. Regret: Due to the health of a member of the group, we had to leave halfway, not reaching the waterfall in Hallstatt. The scenery on the way to the waterfall is quite beautiful with simple houses at the foot of the vertical cliff and the sound of the stream all along the way.

The best hotel we stayed during our trip to Austria. Everything is amazing, magnificent view, big toilet, functional kitchenette, sauces and coffee provided, indescribable. Thanks for granting our wish for best view ever. So glad we booked the hotel for 1 night stay instead of day trip only. Got the little town all by ourselves that night. Halal food is easy to find, got kebab shop in front of jetty. Easy to check-in and check-out.

I had a wonderful time at Pension Hirlatz. The hotel is in an absolutely beautiful area, the breakfast buffet was fabulous, and the room was clean, large, and comfortable. When I wasn’t wandering Hallstatt, I was sitting in the lovely outdoor area enjoying the scenery. It was a lot more expensive a hotel than what I’d usually book, but I believe it was worth the money.

Beautiful and warm place with wooden finishings. Cozy and homey. We had the room with a balcony and it was so beautiful to wake up to the view of Hallstatt in autumn! The peace and quiet of this town was what we needed. Hotel staff very relaxed and friendly. Splendid place! We will come back in the future for sure!

Hallstatt is a jewel indeed, a narrow stripe alongside Halstattersee. The Hotel is right at the lake, offering wonderful views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Our room had a balcony as well (with the compulsory geranium), that we enjoyed. The staff is friendly and helpful.
