We stayed at Well-Dorado for one night in August as part of a group of 9 heading on a mountaineering trip in the region. We booked 5 rooms, and everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, perfect for a short stay before our adventure. The breakfast was delightful, with a great selection to fuel us for the day ahead. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. We recently stayed at this hotel, and while the property itself is well-maintained and the staff incredibly friendly, our experience was marred by an unexpected and disruptive renovation project. Just before our arrival, they began renovating the outdoor swimming pool, which made mornings unbearable due to loud construction noise. The noise also drastically altered the view from our room, replacing the serene mountainscape with a construction site. The hotel did offer a small discount for the inconvenience, but had we known about the renovation before booking, we would have considered canceling our stay entirely. Unfortunately, we weren’t given that option, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the buffet breakfast and dinner were both enjoyable, and the property itself is charming. Still, the noise and the construction site view significantly impacted our overall experience.
