What is there not to like! Comfortable room, although not hugely spacious. The choice at breakfast was great; however, the two main highlights were the location of the hotel to the slopes and ski lifts (a short escalator ride from the ski room) and the all-inclusive dinner. Each night the dinner was a 5 course meal, with choices, and was exceptional. Furthermore all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We made use of the spa on one day, plenty of different options.

Obergurgl is a great location for families, it is not busy...
Obergurgl is a great location for families, it is not busy with groups of young people which makes it a more pleasant ski resort, although the bars and restaurants on the ski runs are still lively at the end of the day's skiing. Live music 4 nights a week at the Nedderhutte is well worth a visit, be sure to get there for around 3 to 3:30pm or you will struggle to get a seat. They offer a lift back into town if alcohol effects your skiing.

Great family resort that is very easy to navigate.
Great family resort that is very easy to navigate. Obergurgl itself has ski schools at both ends of Obergurgl, and the “top express” can take you over to Hochgurgl in about 8mins. Hochgurgl has a good variety of blue runs though Obergurgl is better for mountain huts and the prices are pretty reasonable.

We have visited about 35 times, mainly in winter but have started going in the summer too. It’s a lovely place during both seasons and we have got to know some of the locals which makes it easy to slot in.

Lovely resort with great ski conditions even in April.
Lovely resort with great ski conditions even in April. Not many runs/areas for complete beginners though. Hired ski equipment from scheiber. Great quality and shop very organised. Small resort so easy to get around. Would recommend staying as close to town as possible. Most hotels provide food but there are some nice options in town. Pizza Pic Nic was nice with lovely large pizzas.
Free bus service to and from Hochgurgl.

A high resort, at which you can be assured of good snow conditions, even late in the season. A good variety of runs to suit all abilities. There are plenty of hotels and pensions for people of all ages, although would not suit the younger set who are more interested in nightlife. (Which is what appeals to us!) The resort has two grocery shops, a bakery and a few shops and restaurants. We found it a safe and friendly environment and were most impressed with the ski school, where our 3 year old grandson got his first taste of skiing in a separate, safe and fun environment. Parking is sadly no longer free in the main Obergürgl car park, although still is at the Hochgurgl lift area. The aprés ski at the Neder Hutte is the best, with live music, dancing on the tables and a wonderful atmosphere.

This area is so easy to access via public transport. The door to door ski hire service was also appreciated. We went to the IceQ for lunch which was fantastic. This is our tenth time visiting this area.

The location is brilliant, right near the main lifts.
The hotel is spotless, rooms we had were great, fantastic view from our balcony. Food was fantastic. Wellness area was lovely, very relaxing at the end of the day.
Fantastic location, the view was spectacular. Comfortable bed, kitchen and shower. They were super gentle and upgraded us with bigger accommodation for free. Now in Obergurgl I will stay only here, as it is the best.
The apartment was huge - comfortably slept 6 without any sofa bed in the living room. Comfortable location improved by use of ski locker at the hotel very close to the main lift.
A lovely hotel - room big with fridge, balcony and facilities to make a light snack
Great wellness space downstairs & good boot room
Great choice for breakfast
