The beds and rooms were great, and the location in Melk outstanding! We came in on bikes and were able to walk to the nearby Abby and town center with excellent restaurants. The staff was friendly and very helpful

The price was by far the best we found in the Wachau area. Staff only speaks German, but it is generally easy to communicate. The area is definitely not fancy, by the train station, but the rooms are quiet as the face the other way. The restaurant is typical and not particularly cheap, contrary to the rooms, but good.

We stayed in this hotel on a short cycling trip along the Danube. Their main business seems to be the restaurant, which by the way serves good dinner and ice-cream! The rooms are on the 2nd floor and despite the busy restaurant below, we slept well. And they obviously knew how to set up a good breakfast buffet!

We chose it as a stopover to go to Hallstatt and it was the perfect location. The rooms were very clean and spacious.
There was a small Christmas market right in front of the hotel which was charming.
