Murwillumbah has a surprisingly good array of community services and plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes, clothing shops, supermarket and pretty much any other type of retail you require, also, if needed a couple of hospitals. Didn't see the town as we were short on time.
Didn't see the town as we were short on time. Bought a few grocery items from IGA. Exiting the car-park was a little challenge but given the time of day, expected. A local fresh produce store was also located next to the pub. Had dinner at the pub next door which was enjoyable. Dined out on the verandah looking out over the river. The manager of the motel recommended visiting the local art gallery. There were rowers on the river early in the morning. Nice country town with magnificent mountain views. Good restaurants. The reason we went was to see a local comedy act at Dumbible Memorial Hall and the Margaret Olley Gallery both of which were fabulous. Highly recommend the restaurant at the Gallery.Guest review byFaysieAustralia - Review score
Good Markets on both Wednesday and Sunday .
Good Markets on both Wednesday and Sunday . The cafes in the main street are very good. Choice of at least three good ones, and excellent Thai/ Vietnamese and Indian foods available at restaurants there. The Regional Gallery a few klms out on the edge of town is a must visit.
