The attitude of the checking in host was very poor placing blame on the third party booking site that certain details about the booking were not communicated. We informed the property that we were booking for a special occasion and no efforts were made to help honor that until we made a lot of noise about it to then be called late at night and informed that breakfast would be comped as a form of restitution. The room was freezing cold with the A/C on overdrive and the place was old, dusty, and in need of a touch up. For the price we paid we would expect a more updated look and feel. A single elevator got us to our room when it would actually arrive and there was very little help offered with bags or information about amenities given forward.

The place is in the heart of Fremantle, which is good and bad. You are close to all bars and clubs, so do not expect a quiet environment. On top of that, the hotel is above a bar. It's not a regular bar but a bar with loud music and a dj playing most of the evenings.
The staff just arrives around 11 (when the bar opens), so, if you need anything in the morning, it gets difficult. Communication via booking or email was poor. For example, the Internet wasn't working and took 2 days for me to get a reply. And it remained unsolved. I got the impression that the attention is given to the bar and the rooms above are just extra business.
The bed was conformable but bathroom in need of a renovation.

The rooms were comfortable and modern.
The small touches of free light breakfast, afternoon tea of cheese and wine and free coffee were a nice extra that added to our enjoyment of the hotel.
The hotel is in walking distance to the ferry, attractions and restaurants.
Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Great place. Accessible by train from Perth Airport and easy to get into Perth by train and then out again to Mandurah by train. All good. Our function was at the gaol. We had a two night event with about 800+ people at the gaol. It was a good venue because the stage and band were at one end and the foot trucks at the other; plenty of opportunity for dancing near the band or talking away from it. The Sunday afternoon was held in a park near the beach, south of the Sailing Club. Ladies Lunch on Friday was at the Sailing Club and that was great; good food and service.

Our family had an amazing dinner at Ruocco's before viewing talent at Fremantle Buffalo Club where my niece was singing. The food was amazing and reasonably priced compared to the fish and chip shops near Fishing Boat Harbour.

The Fremantle Markets are fabulous.
The Fremantle Markets are fabulous. The beachfront is lovely. There are heaps of restaurants and cafes. Cicerellos was an experience with delicious seafood. A trip to Cottesloe Beach is well worth it.

Fremantle is a fabulous City to visit with a big variety of things to do both during the day and in the evening too. There are so many wonderful food places to choose with a great variety of cuisines. For great atmosphere and good food and drinks we found the Norfolk Hotel a great place to go. We had saggy& Ice Cream just off the high street and enjoyed a stroll through the fabulous Fremantle markets. We enjoyed fish & chips by the sea.

We had been to Fremantle previously so we knew our way around. Our time was mainly spent with family.
There are some lovely cafes and shops in the area. One in particular was the Flight Club. Our first time there we were met by a wonderful employee who went out of his way to explain the origins of the venue. The staff both times we were there were very friendly. A must place to visit

Always an incredible stay at this boutique hotel. A fab mixture of Fremantle historic architecture and history and a modern renovation of the interior without loosing its original feel. Beds are always comfortable and a beautiful use of marble to give a deluxe feel throughout. Highly recommend this little gem in the heart of town.
Nothing really wrong with the place, your typical b&b, charming, great location close to town and ferry terminal. Friendly service from the staff. The price however is out of range for the value, 2x than a business hotel and comparable to a 5 stars hotel in Perth, but with basic B&B facilities and services.
The location of this hotel is its main selling point. Opposite Esplanade Park and a stones throw from bars, restaurants and the Fremantle Markets. We booked a standard superior room which was clean and tidy, good sized balcony overlooking the street.
This property was right in the centre of historic Fremantle and was a lovely apartment which fitted all of us comfortably. It had balconies over the street and the courtyard of the hotel. The manager was very helpful.
Location good, easy to get into Fremantle, and train nearby so travelled by train to Perth. Nice to stay in hotel with original features and interesting artwork.
