This property is a beautiful example of boutique hotel! Greeted by Bruce who was very friendly and helpful. There is not much to do in Penguin but Bruce livened our stay with ideas for dinner, drink and activities (walking). The room was lovely, with a large window through which we had a 'side view' to the ocean. The town is quiet and comfortable. The lobby is well stocked with wine, snacks and very comfy sofas. Bruce is charming and has a ton of great stories!!!!

Our Hosts, Fran & Terry welcomed us on our arrival to their beautifully appointed house across the road from the beach. If I could give 6 stars I would as all of our needs were fulfilled.
The evening port was certainly appreciated. Look forward to a return visit.

House was very close to Penguin center and the beachfront but also set back enough that it was nice and quiet. Owner was very nice and very accommodating, with lots of helpful local information and suggestions, Room was nicely appointed with sea views, very comfy bed and nice walk through shower and bathroom. It was also nice to be able to use the rear, enclosed garden and sit out on the garden furniture to relax. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Penguin is beautiful seaside town on the Northwest Coast of Tasmania. The town has excellent cafe's, art craft and gift shops and a fabulous brewery restaurant. An esplanade between the main street and beach is a great area for children to play and adults to relax. There is a scenic walkway through the town and along the foreshore extending beyond the township itself. Ferndene and Mount Montgomery within the Dial Range and behind Penguin, are also beautiful and ideal for bush walking. A lovely town and excellent holiday location.

Penguin is a very pretty and tidy town, with many older buildings to visit. It is an easy town to walk around and the residents are friendly and helpful. Its location on Tasmania's northwest coast makes it an almost perfect relaxing weekend getaway. The scenery is beautiful, both the coastal views and pastures further inland are very pretty.

He and his two gentle border collies welcomed us and our kelpie into their beautiful home which sits near to but well above the beautiful beaches and main street of Penguin offering magnificent views of the vast Bass Strait.
The people of Penguin are very friendly, the community run Op Shop full of fashions and treasures, bakery offering a huge range of delicious treats and free bikkies for visiting dogs, the fabulous Seasons by the Sea restaurant sitting right on the beach and run by delightful mother and daughters offering excellent local wines and creative food to die for!
Clean accessible golden beaches with dog friendly leash free options, clean public toilets and lawns and play areas for children.

Right at the heart of Penguin! I was staying in August and there was barely anyone else staying the 5th e hostel so had the whole room for myself. Warm duvet and blankets as well as towels provided. Rooms were quite spacious with tables, chairs, shelves and cheater in. Kitchen was well equipped with a lot of fridge space.
Really easy to drive up and around to other seaside towns.
The property is in an excellent position, well equipped, very clean and has everything for a short stay. The hosts are fantastic, making sure you have everything you need. The BBQ area is an added bonus, even just to relax in. The washing machine is an added bonus. Will definitely stay again when in the Penguin area.
Location was very good. Very impressed with what is happening in Penguin. Liked the shower/bathroom. The whole thing was very modern. well designed and user friendly. Lovely kitchen. We loved the wildlife show in the creek even though there was no platypus. The owner was very friendly and helpful
