The location was perfect. Once we arrived and parked our vehicle in secure parking underneath. We didn't need it again for the duration.
The apartment was huge. Tastefully decorated.
They had the TV on playing music for when we arrived.

The pool was incredible! Also loved that they had a shared kitchen and laundry on site. Staff were very kind. Excellent value for money.

Dirty, the tents leak. Dangerous, all electricity is connected via extension cords and power strips. In some rooms, only one power strip with an extension cord for all four beds. There's a visible fire hazard. The paths to the tents are unlit at night, so you're wandering around blinded. It's not only dangerous from animals but also from collisions because they leave tools and wheelbarrows lying on the side of the road. At night, you're completely blind. They charge the same as a room in a house; a basic tent gets wet and fills with mold due to the poor drainage system. They use it as a hostel, as well as a bar and party venue, so if you want to rest at night, it's impossible because the rooms are right next to the noise and is unbearable. The only option is to go to a tent, but that's also horrible. At night, when people come from outside, sometimes there's not even a place to sit and eat. During my stay, the internet was down supposedly due to the storm, but they did have their own private internet and the bar's, and with complete audacity, they wouldn't open it, denying it, or neither lowering the rate for not providing service. They didn't care. Too much drug use, no seriousness or respect, it's not a place to relax. I like parties, but that's not how it is. You're either a hostel or a party place. There are times when many people just want to relax. The bathrooms aren't cleaned; they're wet quickly. A horrible place, never to return.
Featuring tropical gardens and an outdoor swimming pool, Coral Beach Lodge is located 500 metres from 4-Mile Beach. The lodge offers free WiFi and air-conditioned rooms.

The place is very nice and well-maintained, with great facilities/amenities (the big kitchen and card-operated washers/dryers in particular).
Regal Port Douglas is just 200 metres from the beach, right at the start of the restaurant strip in Port Douglas.

Bedroom suite apartment. Loved the two persons spa bath. Balcony. Very friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable room. Swimming pool. Very close walking distance to main street with cafes, restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Quality of accommodation was amazing and much better than expected . Villa was stunning . Communal areas are stunning
The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street.

The only disappointment was we didn't realize we had booked a "cozy" room on the lower level and, due to construction behind the property, there was no view outside and almost no natural light in the room. If you book here, avoid booking a "cozy" room and be sure to book on an upper level. Otherwise, it is a great spot with helpful, welcoming staff.

Get happier staff. Nothing you can do about the room size now but if you're looking for something more spacious , go to the Sheraton just down the road. I've stayed there and that's way better. If it's a tiny room and close proximity to the Main Street, and you don't mind moody, unaccommodating staff, this is your spot

We are reasonably local, travelling only from Palm Cove for a special occasion but make no mistake - Port Douglas is very special. Being the wet season it absolutely poured down for the whole time we were there but if you understand the FNQ wet season this would not spoil your stay.

The scenery on the drive from Cairns to Port Douglas is spectacular with the sea on one side and the forest on the other side. Port Douglas is small enough to walk around. It has lots of shops and restaurants. A day's snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef with Wavelength was the highlight of our time there. Paddy's Irish Pub served a great pint of Guinness. Their food was also good.

Stayed for 5 nights. Did the rainforest one day plus the reef another. A beach day too. This definitely seems much nicer to stay than Cairns given how compact it is. Would recommend staying here if in the area

We are regular visitors to the area and love it however Mid year is the best time to visit when then weather is consistently beautiful. It's a great relaxing lifestyle and will be better still if the new splash pool behind the Surf Club goes ahead.

Lovely town. Quite compact but not a bad thing.
Lovely town. Quite compact but not a bad thing. Really good food options given the size, you'll struggle to have a bad meal. Four mile beach is worth visiting. Was there during overcast weather and the low season, but can imagine it comes to life when either the sun is out or the dry season starts. Worth going to just for the access to the Barrier Reef and Daintree.

The hotel is around the corner of the main street in Port Douglas and a five minute walk from the beach. Our room was well decorated, beds comfortable and a good bathroom. The bonus was the jacuzzi on the terras and the swim out from the room. The rules for use of jacuzzi and swimming pool ensure that it is quiet at 10.00 pm. Free parking and friendly staff.
Saltwater apartments are in the best location in Port Douglas, extremely handy for going out to eat or shopping on Macrossan St. The apartments are exceptionally clean and well appointed in a modern, nautical style. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious, with heaps of room for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers.
The apartment was large and very comfortable for our family of four. It was in a perfect location within the hotel, with our swim out terrace close to the spa and pool bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book again next time we visit Port Douglas!
Friendly helpful staff. Great bar meals & deals. Clean & green. We love Port Douglas. Hoping Dougies stays on operation for years to come! Thanks for free shuttle from/return to Cairns!!
For us it is Location Location Location - everything is walking distance. We come up to Port Douglas for Fishing Charters and this Hotel is located across the road from the Boat Ramp
