Bayside Inn is located on the edge of Georges Bay at St Helens and is a 9-minute drive from the Bay of Fire’s white sand beaches. The hotel also has an indoor pool.

The room was a decent size, location was good, (close to the town centre/shops), the onsite bistro was also very handy with a usual pub style menu, (we also got a $10 voucher to use at the bistro when we checked in. Nice seaviews.

Not much was open on Sunday which was disappointing Hotel restaurant food was very bland and expensive, as was the local Fish shop for take away- and fish was over cooked and chips the worst I’ve ever tasted Good note, lovely walking around and easy access to walk

Whether you're into history, wildlife, or just enjoying the great outdoors, St Helens has something for everyone. Rainforest walks to waterfalls. Binalong Bay & the Bay of Fires were magnificent creations to visit, plenty of beaches, swimming holes, surfing etc.

Spent our time at Pelican Point Wetland Reserve. Oysters from Lease 65 which is under four minutes away are the biggest and freshest I've ever eaten, at amazing value. I recommend both without hesitation.

Love the casual feel of St Helens.

Love the casual feel of St Helens. It would be nice if some shops & cafes etc had longer trading hours. The main street could do with a couple of roundabouts for easier access from side roads & some pedestrian crossings

This small town has a real vibe about it.

This small town has a real vibe about it. Most people transit through but it's really worth a stop as there are great walks along the coast and birdlife to look for.. we saw sea eagles and pelicans, as well as lots of other sea birds. The great short walk of Tasmania is only $5.00 and is well worth buying as they have walks for everyone across Tasmania. The supermarkets are good (better than most of NZ!) and the Tourist information staff were very helpful. Lots of cafes and qwerty places to eat too. Stop a while and enjoy !

St Helens is a lovely town, though the shortage of any public facilities was glaring, with the only public toilets available that we could find being down in the car-park area on the water near the fish & chip shop. These were very poorly maintained, dirty and in urgent need of upgrading.

Tasman Holiday Park is in a great location and beautifully set out, with nice landscaping, very clean and well kept sites and streets, great on-site facilities and a lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. Our cabin was a very modern and well appointed. My wife and I were extremely impressed with all aspects of our stay and would definitely recommend Tasman to anyone visiting St Helens.
