Love the quietness of the town yet it has everything you need in it. Love the cafes, that there is a supermarket and the few cute little boutique shops. Everything is in easy walking distance from Laurie & Barb's apartment. Shellharbour town is very pleasant. It has everything one would require for a getaway. The main shopping precinct has lots of varied eateries. The fish & chip shop does a roaring trade, but we bought Thai which was excellent! The local tavern appeared to have good clientele also and the cake shop had lovely selections and great coffee! All this right by the harbour. Shellharbour is part of a greater urban area, Shellharbour City. It provides plenty of differing accommodation options, has a great range of shops, restaurants and lovely beaches, is easy to travel around, and is no more than 40 minutes drive from a great area of the NSW South Coast from Lake Illawarra to the Shoalhaven region.
