Such a lovely old hotel right in the Main Street so you can walk everywhere. The evening fairy penguin event is 5 minutes walk away. The bar and bistro are very good and the friendly staff look happy. We loved our balcony room and would stay here again for sure. See the view from our room.

We loved walking around the town.
We loved walking around the town. The chairlift up the Nut and walk at the top. Touchwood Cafe was brilliant and the meal at the pub was also fab - try the arancini!! Highfield Historical Site was beautiful.

Scenic ride from Davenport, breathtaking features, and quiet township. Accommodation was perfect and owners laid on the hospitality. Had one of the best steaks at the Tavern which had a great view over the foreshore. Will definitely return.

Stanley is a stunning town.
Stanley is a stunning town. The Nut is wonderful to climb if you want exercise or you can go up in the Chairlift. I would suggest walking the circuit up the top anti-clockwise as the views are better. The town is cute but not enough open. Food great.

A visit to Stanley wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Hursey Fish and Chip shop. They are so good! The Community shop is always great for puchasing handmade arts and crafts. The beaches are deserted, clean and postcard perfection.

We loved the whole area.
We loved the whole area. Stanley itself was quaint and full of interesting houses and buildings
Highfields looked amazing and we were sorry we didn't have time to do a tour through it. We didn't get time to do the chairlift up to the top of The Nut. However we were thrilled to have snagged a wonderful viewing of the penguins at 9pm the night we stayed. Both local tour guides did a brilliant job of explaining penguins habits life cycle etc Jen was fantastic. I can't remember the male volunteers name now but he was very helpful and knowledgeable too.We thoroughly enjoyed walking about and we had delicious fish and chips at the local Stanley Seafood

This accomodation has been our best stay in Tasmania. We had our own little bungalow out the back of the main house. The location is just around the corner from the beach and the penguins. The paddy melons were everywhere. We walked through the cemetery on the hill . We drove to Hursey’s seafood and had a spectacular seafood meal in the restaurant- we highly recommend the lobster with the Stanley saltbush butter!! Our whole stay was beautiful. Thanks Hanlons, you have a remarkable location by the sea.
Very nice apartment. Very clean with lovely furnishings. I loved the small touches like fresh flowers and a complimentary cheese platter. Our hosts were delightful and couldn't do enough for us. Great location, right in the main street. Best place we stayed in Tasmania.
We liked everything about the property. Attention to what travellers need was perfect. There was a place to put all our luggage etc which we have not found in Tasmania yet. The view was superb the staff were fabulous & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Great location in a lovely town of Stanley. A stone throw away from the Nut. Friendly staff at the hotel affiliated bistro, who waited till late to hand over the key. Strong air-con and heater for winter season.
