Nice heritage property with cozy common rooms with fire places. Rooms were comfortable and clean and property was in a good location.

Located less than 10 minutes’ walk from central Strahan, Risby Cove Boutique Hotel features rooms with lovely water views from your balcony or patio.

We were booked by booking.com for a 1 bedroom suite with Seaview. What we got was a 1 bedroom studio with a view of the parking lot and a partial Seaview. A microwave and fridge do not make a kitchenette. Not worth the price paid!

The Gordon river trip is a must and I would highly recommend to upgrade to premium. You will not regret it. The wood mill is very interesting and again would high recommend. The local hotel also makes some great meals and they are very good size serves. Overall a very peaceful place and we will be back to continue exploring

Strahan is a lovely village on the west coast of Tasmania. It’s very pretty & has great facilities. There’s a fantastic foreshore walk & a number of good walking trails in the area. We had a great meal at Hamer’s bistro. A must for visitors to Strahan

A quaint historic town full of places to explore from the wharf area, the rainforest Hogarth walk in the peoples park and the extended walk to regatta point where the historic steam train is based. We also took Gordon river cruises. Wow. 6 hours of environmental beauty. Buffet lunch was provided with a second round encouraged. A windy road in from queenstown but a much easier drive to Zeehan, definitely worth the look for its living history.

Beautiful little town with much to offer. One needs to go on a Gordon River Cruise, attend "The Ship That Never Was" pantomime and check out the sawing demonstration at Morrisons Huon Pine Sawmill.

Srahan is an important historical town on the West Coast of Tasmania, The boat trip arondnd th Harbour, through Hell's Gate, up to Sarah Island and along the Grdon River is a must, the play - "The Ship that never was" - is a laugh a minute and the Wilderness Railway was worthwhile. The drive to Ocean Beach for the sunset is also good.

Unfortunately not a lot of options in Stahan.

Unfortunately not a lot of options in Stahan. The boat cruise and train rides are the main attractions, unfortunately very expensive for a family of 5. Also books out so if you haven’t pre planned, not much else to do in the town. We did all other recommended activities, the Cemetary, Howgarth falls, drove down to the beaches, and went to watch The Ship That Never Was, which was the highlight of the stay for us, Grey’s evening out. The town is quite pretty, unfortunately sad to see not many businesses open in town and a lot have for sale signs up.

A fabulous hotel in a beautiful location overlooking the bay in Strahan. Didn’t really know what to expect as the hotel is quite spread out (different rooms in different locations around the immediate area), but it was ideal. Stayed in a room (well a terraced room within a row of terraces) with a view over the water. Just gorgeous. Room was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the location is perfect, especially if you’re taking a cruise.

Perfect for our road trip journey around Tasmania. Was a cosy motel style room with all the trimmings. About 15min walk away from Strahan Esplanade. Kids enjoyed the trampoline and the free laundry was a definite plus.
