Serene by the Sea is a great place to relax. Just a few meters from your room, you can reach the small sandy beach with sun beds, hammocks and plenty of seating.
Here you can spend the whole day undisturbed and enjoy the sunset without animation or annoying music.
If you make a request, it will be quickly fulfilled in this small, family-run hotel.
If you expect more than scrambled eggs, omelettes, fried eggs, toast, cheese, ham, jam and fruit for breakfast, you should take care of yourself.
At the Serena by the Sea, you are in Aruba and not in the USA like at Eagle Beach.
It's the real thing.

Woke up every morning and ate mangos that Jay gave me from the tree. Then biked down for fish dinner on the water each day. Was quite nice.

Our stay at this guesthouse was truly unique! The hostess was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. She gave us great tips on the best places to visit, which made our trip even more special. Every morning, she brought us breakfast right on time in a beautiful basket—a lovely touch that made us feel taken care of.
The guesthouse itself had a very special vibe, resembling a trailer park in the best way possible. It was charming, different, and full of character. If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary with a warm and personal touch, this is the place to be!

The family that manage the property are so accommodating.
Very thoughtful and considerate.
Very quiet and you are left to enjoy at your own pace.
Tomarcia local host also does traditional cooking evenings. Cooking and eating and sharing together. Great experience as we had Uk / Canada / USA / Madeira all working and sharing and eating together.
Thank you.

Very clean and spacious apartment with lovely pool but it could very easily be much nicer for the price.
Towels were stained, we swapped them over and 1 was still stained. With the oven, you’re meant to put a flame inside it, not only is this not safe, no instructions were provided. We turned it on for no more than 30 seconds and it smelt like rotten egg. But even if we did end up using it, there were no trays. And air con was very noisy.
We got asked to arrive before a certain time which we did and then had to wait for 15 minutes to be let in. Our main problem was that on our last 2 nights the electricity kept going out. Someone came in to “fix” it but all he did was turn the switches down, which we had done already. He assumed the power was going out by a certain switch. That night it then went out again so we had to move sockets around so that our fridge stayed on. We asked for some money back and haven’t heard anything back except for insinuating that we were lying about it.
We clearly were just unlucky as it’s a very well kept place but would have expected some compensation as with the added taxes it’s pricey.

The apartement in Savaneta was great for privacy and relaxation. When you want to get to the busy tourist areas and beaches it is not difficult. Tip: buy some day bus passes at the Oranjestadt Arubus terminal. They are 10USD for each pass for the whole day. Zee Rovers restaurant is great for fresh catch of the day fish and or shrimp. Nice place to eat and hang out right at the waterfront. Sushi factory also good in Savaneta, likewise House of Cakes.
Car rentals are a little pricey for a single person. However the Arubus takes you almost all places along the Aruba main road. I think bicycling would be a little dangerous with lots of cars zipping by.

This hotel is a prime example that the class of a hotel is not the stars, marbles, mirrors or pools, but the people. Graciela and Victor are the backbone of this hotel and that you will feel as if you are going to your closest family. In this mega expensive island they will help you not to waste unnecessary money. Graciela your empanadas are the best in the world. Dear hotel owner I don't know how much you pay them but they deserve better.
Very nice hotel! Fantastic location just next to the water and beach! Great water for kayaking and snorkeling. Beautiful sunsets! The family that owned the hotel was fantastic! Welcoming, friendly and looking after you - so that you had a good stay! The chef that made fantastic omelettes for breakfast. Nice restaurants next to the hotel; Flying Fishbone and Zeerover!
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We´ll be back!
The hotel was perfect; the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and advised me about the island the whole time.
