Our stay at this guesthouse was truly unique! The hostess was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. She gave us great tips on the best places to visit, which made our trip even more special. The family that manage the property are so accommodating. Very thoughtful and considerate. Very quiet and you are left to enjoy at your own pace. Tomarcia local host also does traditional cooking evenings. Cooking and eating and sharing together. Very clean and spacious apartment with lovely pool but it could very easily be much nicer for the price. Towels were stained, we swapped them over and 1 was still stained. With the oven, you’re meant to put a flame inside it, not only is this not safe, no instructions were provided. We turned it on for no more than 30 seconds and it smelt like rotten egg. But even if we did end up using it, there were no trays. And air con was very noisy. We got asked to arrive before a certain time which we did and then had to wait for 15 minutes to be let in. Our main problem was that on our last 2 nights the electricity kept going out. Someone came in to “fix” it but all he did was turn the switches down, which we had done already. He assumed the power was going out by a certain switch. That night it then went out again so we had to move sockets around so that our fridge stayed on. We asked for some money back and haven’t heard anything back except for insinuating that we were lying about it. We clearly were just unlucky as it’s a very well kept place but would have expected some compensation as with the added taxes it’s pricey.
