The location is fantastic, you have a great view of Dinant. Being a former monastery it has a special feeling. We have been offered complimentary drinks at the outdoor bar that has the same fabulous view. The room was gigantic. We were a family of 3 and we could choose which bedroom to sleep in.
Castel de Pont-a-Lesse is located in the heart of the Ardennes. This renovated manor house is only 5 km from the city centre of Dinant and offers an indoor pool.

We stayed for two nights whilst exploring Dinant and had a lovely stay, so we would recommend the hotel.
Main advantages:
- Lovely, new and modern facilities (we stayed in the Diane suite). The room was well designed with plenty of storage and everything we needed.
- Dinant was just 10 minutes away by car, but the location was quiet and rural which was perfect for us.
- The room was very spacious, and a jacuzzi was a lovely touch.
- Breakfast was lovely, although some fresh berries and more variety of cheese would be welcome.

The location is excellent and it was easy to park nearby in Easter time. The shared kitchen was in good conditions and had everything needed. The host was responsive and helpful.

Wonderful view of the river from our room. Good breakfast well presented. Good reception, friendly staff and nearby parking. Plenty of places to eat on the rivers edge and everywhere so friendly. A calm and pleasant stay.
Lovely town ideal for a couple of days visit. It is worth getting the combined ticket for the Citadel which includes the Citadel, Cable Car and a 45 minute boat trip on the river (note all three have to be done in the same day don't leave it too late to buy the ticket - need a few hours to enjoy without being rushed). The town itself is nice to wander around and cross the bridge with the saxophones for a great view of the Citadel. If you have a car and like castles, only 15 minutes drive away is Château de Vêves which is definitely worth a visit

My husband and I spent one night in Dinant.
My husband and I spent one night in Dinant. We loved it, and would happily return to the area to hike and bike. The town is fairly touristic, but we found a little section south of the main drag which was charming and away from the crowds. The town's gorgeousness makes it absolutely worth visiting, in spite of the crowds. And it seemed that those crowds were mostly Belgian, and weekenders, so I wouldn't be put off of Dinant.

Dinant is a little gem, beautiful location and scenary.
Dinant is a little gem, beautiful location and scenary. You have river, high cliffs, very interesting cathedral and the fortress. One can go for river cruises, bike rides, hiking on the hills, etc.
Only downside is that most of the food is pizza, pasta, kebab and fries. Couldn't find any authentic Belgian food.

Lots of things to do in Dinant.
Lots of things to do in Dinant. We used the cycle paths along the river as well as the old railway up to the monastery. There were lots of people using canoes and picnicking along the river too. The town had lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. Parking in he town could be a bit difficult, but generally OK.

We were in Dinant for Maison Leffe which was interesting, but not a brewery visit, just an interactive museum, we had drinks on the lawn at the rear of the building which was lovely.
The following morning we visited the citadel which gives great views over the town and you learn the history of Dinant, which is very interesting.

Beautiful part on Belgium, great little town to stroll around, eat and take a boat tour. Nice architecture and history of the town.
Visiting the Notre Dame is a must, Citadele was also very nice!
Definitely recommending so spend some time in the nature in the area, hike around, climb cliffs or go kayaking!

The garden view room had a great view of the countryside and was very spacious. The free Leffe in the fridge and welcome drink were nice touches. I also appreciated the receptionist helping to book taxis for me (pre-booking taxis is essential in Dinant - see comments below). A decent breakfast, fully functioning wifi and very comfortable bed. The hotel also has a free shuttle service to its sister venue on the other side of the river, a casino (not a service I used myself but it's handy if casinos are your sort of thing).
Nice, comfortable and clean appartement in the city centre of Dinant, very close to the Citadel (2 minutes walk), the bridge and the church. Grocery shop is in the street and restaurants and bars are very close (few minutes walk). Public parking (paid) is nearby, on a few minutes walk.
If you want to visit Dinant, I would highly recommend this appartement. For two persons it’s perfect and has all you need (comfortabel bed, good kitchen, shower is great, nice terrace and it’s very clean).
Book a room with a river view. Rooms are cooler, and windows can be opened.
We were lucky and didn't experience noise. But it can be very noisy on the river side. Not so much from the terrace underneath, but Dinant people love very loud motorcycles and fast driving across the river.
Ps. Free parking next to hotel
Big apartment, with all amenities needed. The owner was lovely and stopped by to check we had everything we needed. Superb location in the centre of Dinant so easily walkable to all attractions and restaurants. Easy parking nearby. Would recommend.
