La Roche en Ardenne is a little village with lovely countryside for hiking, biking, kayaking and probably even trout fishing although we did not do that. We went to see the incredible WWII museum which was amazing. The food in LaRoche was the best of our entire trip and we were in many amazing places. The room was perfect, the bar had any kind of beer, liquor or wine you could want, the staff were friendly and accommodating and multilingual, breakfast was amazing, and they have a sauna/relaxation room. The Wildlife park is really worth a visit but it is a steep 2,5KM walk. You can drive, though we didnt. The views over La Roche, from the castle are excellent. There are plenty of places to eat and dink, however they can get very busy in a Saturday evening. We ate at the Chinese restaurant with a lovely view out over the river. A beautiful historic town in Ardenne, next to Ourthe river. Multitude of hiking trails, actually endless opportunities to walk and cycle. La-Roche-en-Ardenne offers everything you could wish for on a hiking holiday. The town offers a multitude of restaurants, bars and shops.
