We have always loved Middlekerke, a very friendly place with...
We have always loved Middlekerke, a very friendly place with lots of activities for all ages. There is a lot of building going on, which did not affect, but enhanced the stay as it is very interesting to watch. It is so easy to travel up and down the coast using the Kustram. We parked the car on arrival and did not use it again until we came home. Bonus to have free parking outside the appartment, and in plenty of places in Middelkerke. So close to the outstanding Dunes which are now protected and the Atlantic Wall Museum which has grown so big over the last few years and now has a WW1 area, you need a full day if you are visiting and also snacks and drinks as there is no cafe.Guest review byJeanUnited Kingdom - Review score8.0

Really nice stay. Good restaurant. Nice welcome. We had two chihuahuas with us. Stairs are real steep so careful if you go there with a bigger dog, you may need to carry them all the way upstairs :-). I recommend anyway cause it was a good stay on the whole.Guest review bypascale - Review score10.0

Middelkerke located between Niewport and Ostende is a small town on this stunning coastline that offers beautiful sandy beaches, shops and plenty of eateries as well as entertainment. The GoKart center is perfect for families as it has outdoor climbing, Go Kart, small animal farm and indoors, cafe, bowling, game machines and 3D workshops. Middelkerke is a favorite of ours because it isn't a large city, but it has everything that you need. The locals are always friendly. This trip was the first time that I ran into someone who did not speak any English. It is a great "base" area if you want to visit other locations up and down the coast. I felt so safe and comfortable on our first trip that I returned on a trip with my kids and was able to relax while they played and enjoyed the area.Guest review byRebeccaGermany
