Nice location, clean and comfortable. Horrible experience with the restaurant service. The food was either microwave heated or microwave cooked and inedible. The staff kept changing the operating hours of the restaurant at will. On our second night before our departure, they gave us two plates of leftover breakfast from the morning buffet for the next day. There was no one at the reception or at the facilities for the checkout process. I guess they couldn't be bothered with anything.

Nice apartment in Trigrad. Very spacious and clean. The location is also great - close to the Yagodina and Devil's Throat caves. We enjoyed a cup of Mursalski tea that the host left for us. The host, who lives on the first floor, was also very kind and let us try his eco-grown produce. Very tasty! Thank you for hosting us! We'll come back if we're back in the area.

Everything was great! 🥰
The staff is very friendly and very helpful. On request they can organize a trip with an offroad vehicle to the closest nature attractions - Eagle’s peak, Yagodina cave, Devil’s throat cave, etc.
The rooms in the hotel are very comfortable and with an amazing view of the Rodopa mountain.
And the last, but not the least- the restaurant! The food there is extremely delicious! We didn’t have enough time to try everything on the menu, but whatever we did was exceptional!
We were very happy that we chose this hotel and we will definitely stay there again!

We visited the cave Devil's throat, there, the herb garden at the hotel is beautiful. There is a bear museum which we failed to visit but worth doing it since on the same ground. Next day we did the Eagle's eye platform and Yagodinska cave. About the hotel: The balcony overlooks the river which was an amazing feature, very relaxing, staff is so friendly, breakfast was excellent. Also for families travelling with a car, the parking spot next to the building is so convenient. It is an excellent place to visit for the weekend with a kids. The restaurant has a very nice outside patio and inside space to enjoy traditional Bulgarian dishes they offer. My only suggestion would be to provide brochures for other local attractions.

Amazing gorge. Winding roadside next to the river.
Amazing gorge. Winding roadside next to the river. Make stops to take in the view and enjoy the beauty of the reservoir, the river, the mountains. Some spectactular caves to visit- the Devil's Throat, Yagodina, and Haramiska. The last is the most challenging, with a hike up to the opening, where you strap on equipment to climb up to the opening of the cave. (With a guide.) Then you walk through the caverns and end with a rappel into a huge chamber. It's amazing! Devil's Throat has lots of stairs and Yagodina, unique formations. They're all such a treat to experience. Then you have the Wolf Rock and the Eagle's Eye, which are both vantage points from which to take in fantastic views. Both are accesible via jeeps which you can rent with a driver. Really bumpy ride, but worth it. Trigrad is pretty much my favorite place in Bulgaria.

When visiting Trigrad you must visit couple of places - Wolf's rock - you can hire a jeep for 60 leva (you can combine with other people to split the price) from Gyovren and Chairski Lakes (Чаирски езера) - 12 km walk or you can hire another jeep. If you go to Devin which around 40 km from Trigrad you can visit Mineral Pools at the end of the city. Behind the pools starts a trail which goes to Samodivski Waterfall (Самодивското пръскало).
