We just sampled Caye Caulker for the last day/night of our Belize vacation since we had seen it several times briefly from the water taxi pier.
Wish we had allowed more time there, we really liked it a lot and want to explore more...and try more restaurants. The food was great.

Caye Caulker has a small town vibe. The food was fabulous and locals were kind and helpful. No cars, bikes were included with our cottage and we used them every day. Very easy to get around. Loved it.

Caye Caulker is a very laid-back place with sand streets and no automobiles. If you like the beach life, the water, the sun, bars and restaurants and water sports this is the perfect place . The food is not outstanding, but it's a beach town. Some live music. Their creed on this island is "Go slow". People are very friendly. not too crowded and easy going all the time

Caye Caulker is rough. It's dusty and unkempt.
Caye Caulker is rough. It's dusty and unkempt. If you're expecting a perfect paradise, this isn't it. It's ramshackle. The car free nature sounds great, until you realize that instead they have golf carts and ATVs - slower, but extremely loud and smokey. Sadly electric carts aren't mandated. So Caye Caulker is noisy! You have to walk far out of town to get some peace.
Food in the tourist areas is over priced, but if you seek out local places towards the south of the Island you can save some serious money (meals for less than half of what The Split area places charge).
The people are super kind, laid back. Lots of Ganja being smoked, and for the most part laid back vibes. However, there are beggars and there are touters so you do have to be prepared to say know a lot, sometimes against persistent folks.
The snorkleing is amazing. It's worth going for just that aspect. As for a longer stay - some people love it and stay for weeks and months. But unless it hits your Vibe, you'll tire of the place in 2 days.

We enjoyed spending time with my sister and her husband.
We enjoyed spending time with my sister and her husband. They reported that the fishing was excellent and, as a result, we ate a lot of fish. My wife and I opted for a full day of snorkeling which turned out to be too long even though the snorkeling was good; we both got seasick. Bliss Beach, way up on the North island is beautiful and the only real beach we experienced. We ate out a few times and the food was only OK. We opted to rent a golf cart which was expensive but valuable for getting around; the roads are very rutted.

Location in Caye Caulker is great. Short walk from the ferry and in a good location for restaurants in the evening and near to the Split. Had a windowless room which worked fine and there was a window in the bathroom. Air con was really good and shower had great pressure and heat. Staff in the shop below were friendly and useful having a supermarket below. Highly recommend using Caveman Tours nearby for any snorkelling trips for anyone who does stay here. Safe in the room and fridge.
Cecilo and Frank were amazing staff! They made the stay very fun. A highlight of the property was the games! The rooms were very nice and clean and had everything we needed. You should definitely stay here if you come to Caye Caulker ☺️
Wonderful cabanas, best place to stay on Caye Caulker! The owner was wonderful with many local recommendations of things to do. Awesome location with a great beachfront, kayaks and bikes available!
