Canmore – 301 hotels and places to stay

Featuring a hot tub and sauna, this Canmore hotel is only 5 minutes' drive from Banff National Park. Mountain views and a flat-screen TV are provided in every guest room.

Check-in staff were great. Room was clean and the view was great. The bed was terrible. As were the pillows. My husband and I got barely any sleep both nights we were there. Kitchen was nicely stocked with many needed items. Lots of towels for the bathroom.

Featuring scenic views from a shared rooftop hot tub, Basecamp Resorts Canmore is set in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, 11 miles from Banff.

I would like to suggest adding ventilation in the bathrooms and perhaps additional ventilation in the kitchen. When we arrived, the unit had a strong scent probably from the previous occupants cooking. We had to open all windows to air it out despite of the cold winter air coming in.

Offering an indoor pool, this Canmore hotel features one and two bedroom suites with full kitchens and 40-inch flat-screen TVs with Blu-Ray players.

So staying in the Annex was a big disappointment. ( I can’t speak for the main hotel) The walls are paper thin ( and extremely loud Neighbors until 2am above our room) & it’s in great need of repairs. The 1st girl at the front desk was so unfriendly & doesn’t smile. Cleaning stuff was super nice.

We didn't spend any actual time in Canmore - it was more of a base for us. Our time was mostly spent in Banff & Lake Louise. You have to be prepared to drive after dinner in a dark and not-so-great highway amongst heavy long trucks. So if this is a problem for you, don't stay in Canmore, or simply have your dinners in Canmore. It's also a pretty long drive to Lake Louise, so if you want to spend more time there, you might have to stay in Banff.

Canmore is a little gem in a beautiful Rocky Mountain setting. It has a quaint and welcoming feeling, although it can be quite busy in the weekends. There are outstanding restaurants (Ankor, for example), interesting art galleries, fun activities for kids of all ages!

Canmore is an incredibly beautiful town with lots to do!

Canmore is an incredibly beautiful town with lots to do! From skating, skiing, hiking, and canyon exploring, there is so much outdoor winter activities for everyone! The town is fairly pedestrian- and bike-friendly and is easy to navigate. There are lots of great shops and restaurants to choose from, and hotels are decent too. I would definitely recommend Canmore as a cheaper alternative to Banff with almost the same amenities and attractions available within a short drive's reach!

We were not expecting much from a chain hotel, but were very impressed by the whole place. We have booked future stays at Coast hotels on the strength of this visit. The staff were helpful, the room large, and the gym well equipped with nearly new equipment including Pelton bikes. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Canmore is a lovely little town, without the crowds and chaos of Banff

Very nice staff and amazing location to explore Canmore. The bus to Banff is also leaving across the hotel. I recommend taking a walk on the boardwalk starting by the hotel. The beds are very comfortable, and the possibility for an early check-in is great.
