Our rooms were impeccably clean and the beds very comfortable. The food was fantastic--we tried several things over our stay, and there is something for everyone--we have dietary needs of varying kinds. The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful, and the staff at the restaurant/bar were some of the finest I've experienced staying anywhere--especially want to give credit to Laura and Nate who made our stay memorable! There is a decent-sized pool for relaxation, exercise or play and a well-equipped fitness room. Easy access to highway to get to Hamilton. There is a Walmart nearby as well which is convenient if you forgot to pack anything.

We stayed at the Sheraton in Hamilton to see a concert at First Ontario Concert Hall and this was the perfect location within walking distance. Wonderful room and great service at the front desk!

Have nothing to say other than you took my money for the room and when I got there they wanted a security deposit and they would not accept the same credit card you took my money from so I was stuck on the street and lost my money for my room too

There are very good restaurants in down town Hamilton.
There are very good restaurants in down town Hamilton. The aircraft museum is well worth visiting as is the Victorian water pumping station and Haida ship which belonged to the Canadian navy. There are some very run down areas within Hamilton to be avoided.

Like many cities struggling with infastructure the streets of Hamilton are in bad shape. The location around the hotel is a little tricky at first as Hwy #8 splits into two different roads which run in opposite direction.

Hamilton is a surprising city with a real mix of high culture (the art museum) and the gritty artifacts of its industrial past. Old Hamilton has a lot to do, see, eat, and drink, all walkable and with easy access to the GO Train. The Mountain (the Niagara Escarpment) is harder to access except by car, full of unhighlighted history and glimpses of a grand vista over Lake Ontario. The Bruce Trail and Dundas Valley Trails are accessible but you have to pay $11 to park. Newer homes and retail strip malls make this area seem like a suburb of Old Hamilton, with the escarpment as the natural barrier. As with all suburban areas, we got the impression that tourists were not welcome “Nothing to see here!” , a curious undervaluing of a novel bit of Ontario.

Hamilton is the best location to be able to access many attractions without paying very high prices and having large crowds when the day ends. Niagara Falls is just 30 minutes away and Toronto is just less than an hour. There is plenty of shopping and good restaurants. I have stayed in both Toronto and Niagara and found them to be very expensive for everything you do. It was far nicer to be a reasonable distance from both and be comfortable at a place between.

The global impression of Hamilton tends to be negative - and it is not deserved. We found the architecture to be wonderful, the people to be friendly and dining to be varied and generally very good (loved The Mule). We got lost walking one day and a gentleman actually drove us back downtown - over the top hospitality! The weather was very mild and the gardens were still in bloom - but we'd love to see more of it in the summer. Some of the key attractions were just not open, such as the air museum, or closed several days of the week, which was disappointing.

I thought this was a great hotel, better than I was expecting. The mattress was very good. The towels were nice and thick. The shower was great and the bathroom was stylish. The in-room coffee was handy. The pool is small but was a nice feature to have, also the sauna. The staff were kind, helpful, and professional. A bit far from a grocery but the hotel is on the bus route.
This was the nicest place we stayed at in our week in Canada! The hosts showed great attention to detail. Everything was very clean. All communication with the hosts was clear and helpful. Shame we couldn’t stay longer!
