This isn't really a fair question. Lethbridge was home to me for most of my life until I moved away 18 years ago. We came back to celebrate my 80th birthday with family and friends and spent the week visiting with so many of them. It really was coming home and I enjoyed every minute. I wholeheartedly recommend Lethbridge - there is lots to do even though we didn't really "do" much given the purpose of our visit. we did a little hike out at the train tressle and fort whoop-up the parks around the hotel were still nice and green so that encouraged us to be outside more. the weather was very warm which drew us to the outdoors. spent some time at the Cavendish arenas. very nice venue.Guest review byRichard - Review score6.0

What I like least was the coffee selection and the fact there was no toilet paper in the room when I checked in at 3. They later brought a roll and woke me from a needed nap. Many travelers may find this an ideal location at affordable rates and in many ways it is appealing. Wyndham should though explore what possibly can be done about the perilous steep stairs, inside to the upper floor. I would give this attractive motel a guarded pass so long as management look seriously at the improvements needed. Hotel misrepresents itself I believe in the photos. Hotel is old and rundown. Only thing upgraded was the reception area and breakfast area. Floors were squeaky, sink didn’t drain well. Our trip to Lethbridge was for family reasons, but we thoroughly enjoyed the few touristy things we were able to do. The Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens is certainly a must place to visit and worth spending a little time there and in the new Cultural Centre. As for restaurants, there is a good selection, but not all were highly rated. Ironically, the most highly recommended restaurant on TripAdvisor was Moxie's, a chain restaurant. It was, however, very acceptable and had a diverse menu. We also ate at the Mocha Cabana, and the Lighthouse Japanese restaurant. Both were very acceptable and the servings were very generous. We would have liked to try some other restaurants but found that most closed quite early during weekdays. Otherwise, out stay was very pleasant.Guest review byDavidCanada

What this hotel lacks in fanciness it more than makes up for in all the little things that really matter. Yes, the building is older, and it's not perfect.
