We stayed at The Maq Hotel for two nights in early April and loved it! The location is perfect, right in town and by the harbor. The hotel is modern, very clean.
With its own café, restaurant, and pub, there’s no need to go far for great food. Everything we tried was delicious! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even better.

Best place to stay with kids!! So much for them to do and such a fun funky spot overall. Loved the free washers and dryers too... So essential for Tofino. And the hot tub and sauna were beautifully located and amazing after a day at the windy, wet beach and forest. Right across from Chesterman, too, so the location also can't be beat. Highly recommend
This Tofino oceanfront resort is just steps from surfing access in the winter and skimboarding and paddleboarding in the summer. Free WiFi is included, and most accommodations feature a flat-screen...

Oops 😬, made big mistake on this one.
It's the kinda place where you shouldn't expect something, like don't get your hopes up.
We did and were disappointed.
Tofino Resort + Marina is the ideal place to experience Tofino, Canada’s famous west coast surfing destination. Tofino is so much more than surfing though.
Offering garden views, Sienna's Tree House (Tall Trees And Salty Breeze) is an accommodation located in Tofino, 1.1 km from Chesterman Beach and 1.4 km from Mackenzie Beach.

Location, staff, and the room were amazing!
Oh, and the view was absolutely incredible!
On average, 3-star hotels in Tofino cost £122 per night, and 4-star hotels in Tofino are £143 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Tofino can on average be found for £123 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Expensive and small. The weather was terrible, but that is to be expected for the time of year and for being in a boreal rainforest. The views from the beaches are nothing short of breathtaking... even in the rain.
Rhino Cafe has the best donuts I have ever tasted, but you've gotta get there early as they are a busy spot.
You receive a 10% discount at the MAQ for staying at the Duffin Cove. However, the food was mediocre and not worth the price, even with the discount.

Tofino is a charming small town with a very pretty harbour.
Tofino is a charming small town with a very pretty harbour. Geared to tourist and outdoor adventurers there are lots of activities such as whale watching and sightseeing trips from the townsite, and world famous Pacific Rim beaches (surfing, walking, marveling at the combers rolling in) within easy reach. Not a shopping mecca but good grocery store and many boutique shops, art galleries etc.. Very peasant place to stroll around with relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Tofino is an ideal base to explore this beautiful area. Good restaurants, nice cafes, sea plane trips were amazing, bear-watching boat trip was also very memorable. Lovely walks from Tofino itself and up and down the pacific coast. Wolf in the Fog and Shelter good choices for dinner.

We rented e-bikes for a short time and road along some biking paths within the Pacific Rim Park. We had one of the best dinners at Shelter restaurant - food was delicious (mussels fettuccine, flat iron steak, and fruit crumble for desert). We also enjoyed breakfast/brunch in Ucluelet at Heartwood Kitchen.

Not first timer there, but always enjoy to get to Tofino.
Not first timer there, but always enjoy to get to Tofino. Saw changes over time, some very positive. Specially trails, signage, washrooms around popular beaches, bike lanes. It’s more crowded now for sure. But there is always limitless scenery to observe and enjoy by everyone. Drive is the only deterrent for us to get there. Interesting, but doing it for 5th or 6th time can be rather a chore. Will explore flying in option for next visit.

The room was quaint, clean and had a good decent view of the water and mountains (We were in room 6, I think 4 and 5 have the best views). Good price for expensive Tofino.
The staff was outstanding and the restaurant downstairs had excellent sushi and fresh oysters - with top notch service as well.
We will happily stay here in the future!
Clean, new hotel with lots of space, large comfortable rooms and a friendly vibe. Staff on reception were happy, helpful and very welcoming. The same goes for the staff at the cafe - it was a pleasure to be around the lobby/cafe area, with its stylish decor and comfortable seating. A good place to just hang out.
The location was great very close to the ocean. The place was quiet at the same time very near Tofino downtown. The hotel staff was cooperative and tried to address the issues in a timely manner. They compensated with a free restaurant voucher.
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The location, the size of the room, the breakfast and the staff cannot be beat. The overall quality of the service and the hotel was better than anything I have experienced on the island.
The location is superb, accommodations were cheap and cheerful, staff had their stuff together. As a broke university student, I give whalers on the point 10 outta 10. Keep it 100 guys, COME VISIT TOFINO!
