Perfect location in the town centre. All the staff are really nice, except one old guy on the night shift. Not much choice for breakfast but very good quality. The hotel is rated 3 stars but my room was at least 4 stars. Amazing bathtub with massage, really big bathroom and a long balcony. Surprised by the quality.

Family-owned Hotel Ambassador enjoys a quiet and central location only 200 metres away from the train station in Brig. Free WiFi is available in all areas.

The room was fantastic and the bed was really comfortable. Thoroughly recommend having an evening meal in the restaurant at this hotel as the food was superb. The staff were good as well

    Brig was truly a hidden gem!

    Brig was truly a hidden gem! We stayed at Hotel Victoria, directly across from the train station - which we loved. The main part of the city was really close and in walking distance. Great shops and resturants and gelato shops. They have a little train that goes around the city and gives you another perspective. It was perfect! There was a historic castle with tour. Unfortunately, the tour was in German, but we enjoyed it.

    Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains.

    Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains. There are lots of restaurant options and shops and a sweet old town. There is a very striking Palace to visit and some lovely nearby walks, including one to a gorge. They have a local pool and a set of thermal pools a short bus ride away.

    A very pretty town, with lovely crisp fresh air. Fabulous selection of shops from fashion to food. Friendly and welcoming cafes and restaurants. Particularly like the pretty main square. Overall a feeling of safety and cleanliness.

    Great wee town.

    Great wee town. The centre was beautiful, as were the surrounding views. We ate at a local wee German restaurant and they seemed surprised we never booked! getting around Brig was easy...just walk, it's not that big. We would have loved to have explored distant villages, but we had no personal transport. We'd come back and explore more.

    Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley.

    Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley. It represents a train junction both east to west and north to south allowing access to the cities of Bern & Milan. The town is quite and has a few shops and restaurants which only stay open for a short time in the evening. The centre of the town is car free so peaceful to walk around at night. Brig offers transport links by both bus and train to many of the ski resorts in the area. Be aware that travel by train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn cost 150CF for two people. Drinks & food are expensive in the town but it is safe and pleasant to walk around. There are numerous walks along the river and into the hillside.

    Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich and Geneva airports and Basel SBB station (a bus goes from Basel airport to Basel SBB), just over an hour by train from Berne. Good hiking opportunities, for example from nearby Naters up to Blatten and further up to Belalp.

    Exceptional value for money in Switzerland Excellent communication re self check in. I was lucky enough to be given such a lovely room with a balcony and view of the castle. Such a wonderful location. Easy walk from train Very clean room. Lovely bed linen and comfy mattress. Coffee machine appreciated. Breakfast included. Good choice of fresh fruit.     Convenient location for train. Parking is also available if required Booked a larger room fir 3 even though only needed one bed fir 2 people. Gave us more space and worth the extra Lots to do in this area of Switzerland a great hop off base. Plenty of cafes and rests within 5 mins. Friendly efficient staff. Great stay

    Good communication. Check in with the lock box was easy . Location is at the "Top of Brig" as expected but number 3 bus from the front of the train station stops right outside the apartment. The apartment is spacious with great views and very comfortable.
