It is so so beautiful here. I only had 24 hours, which felt too chaotic. You could really slow down and explore for much longer. Also, be prepared for pretty pricey food and drinks. Luckily, it was all delicious, but definitely on the more expensive side.

I think of out of all the places i travelled in Switzerland; this was my favourite. So alive. Great sunshine and amazing views of the lake.
The morning was a little crisper weather but by afternoon it was fine.
I enjoyed staying here during the winter months as there were less crowds. Less cost for hotels. If you don’t mind cooler weather you can definitely have a great time. Food was delicious. Great people and very safe. Enjoyed viewing some of the older churches and art work throughout the city centre area.

The general vibe and lakeside location is spectacular.
The general vibe and lakeside location is spectacular. Not much on restaurant front but for day trips to the surrounding area the base point is super. The free travel card offering discounts to sights in the area was much valued.

Picturesque to some degree but not much to do here.
Picturesque to some degree but not much to do here. Food wise all italian and not much of a variety. An over night stay is more than enough.
I did not think the people were very friendly or welcoming

I got a room with a view which was very nice, the room was spacious, the bed was confortable the illumination was good and the shower very confortable. the place is in the top of the city there is a funicular that can take you down town, and walking is about 10 min it is steep but ok.
The hotel is in front of the train station that can take you to lots of places, and the hotel gave us a code that let us use the train and ferry for free to go any were in Switzerland. The breakfast was very good and the service was great too.
This little hotel, which I booked at the last minute with few expectations, turned out to be great. The rooms are actually bigger than they look in the photos, and they were clean and well appointed. The staff was kind and helpful. The location is great, just a 15 minute walk to the centre of town, or an extremely short bus ride. (Staying at the hotel comes with a free bus pass, and the bus stop is just 200 m away. Buses run frequently and on time – this is Switzerland after all.) Breakfast was good, too.
Family Room are so small for a family we literally couldn’t move all at once either u sit on bed or there are jo other place to be in there 👎🏻
Although i booked 2 month earlier i got the worst toom view ever and although i sent them many emails before to make sure my room has view because i am booking early
Staff in the reception didnt help at all not even try to look for a solution saying hitel fully booked !!! It wasnt cheap though ,, i hated my 3 days in lugano because if them
Great view! You could just sit there and enjoy the view! It’s amazing! We liked the possibility of taking a bus down to the city and leaving the car parked by the hotel. Close to the funicular taking you to Monte Bre, which offers even more spectacular view on Lugano and surrounding mountains.
