The rooms were very comfortable but what I loved and didn't expect was that we had access to the kitchen/lounge area. So we were able to make food and coffee and relax. We also had a little deck outside of our room that we can enjoy morning coffee on.

Check in was smooth and personnel was very pleasant and accommodating. Room and bathroom were very clean. We had asked for two separate single beds and it was all set up as per the request. The price was more than reasonable. Location was perfect.

I chose Le Saint Georges for a one-night stay in Gruyères based on its website and Instagram and was not disappointed. Yes, it looks good, and the service is stellar. From the location (a few minutes walk from Parking 1), aesthetically pleasing interior decor, very comfortable/cozy room, and gorgeous views from our bedroom window to an impeccable fondue dinner and to-die-for local Gruyères and cream dessert, everything was top-notch. Special mention to the GM, Alex, who expertly oversaw operations during our stay and had a professional but warm, personal touch that made us feel valued and at home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again..

Breakfast was decent. Though not a very lavish buffet spread it was a heavy filling one

Traditional room design. Location is perfect if you arrive by car and have luggage to carry. Short walk to the picturesque village. The reception staff were most helpful, as we arrived a bid late. The breakfast room is nicely designed and serves a good breakfast.

Very convenient location (you walk out of the train station and you’re there, but you can also walk in the town from it). The hotel room was very clean and the staff was very nice. We had an issue with the electronic lock and we were promptly helped 😊. No complaints about our stay!
We hiked to the peak. It pushed the limits of our 11 year old. Was just about perfect for our 14 and 16 year olds. We took plenty of breaks and round trip was like 6 or 7 hours.
Lots of cows with bells on. Excellent views from the top.
We hiked up counter clockwise along the loop. This put the rocky less pretty views on the first 1/2 of the hike. It was nice to have the more scenic views on the way down while we were tired.
We should have started right in the morning as there was full sun exposure for almost the whole hike. Also, if it had rained or something there wouldn't have been much good cover.
