Breakfast was good but there were no eggs on offer. The person in charge was more than helpful although neither of us could speak each others language.

The restaurant food was very good, great variety, freshness. The breakfast spread was really good too. The entire team was really friendly and helpful.
The hotel layout (different huts) is special and cosy. The location is easy to get to, most of the time a very quiet place. (with exception to the Huskies waking up or feeding time around 5am and 5pm :) :) :) - our hut was very close to the kennels).
We stayed 3 nights, we had dinner at the restaurant hotel every night. Dinner started to be served early, around 5:30, which was perfect when traveling with a 4 year old.

Friendly staff, and an easy taxi ride form Zurich. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's great value for money and the bus to both ski lifts stops right outside the front door. There is a municipal pool in the same building. It was open until 9pm on weekdays but shut at 5pm on the weekend.
Boasting ski-to-door access, Stoos Lodge is situated in Stoos in the Canton of Schwyz region, 32 km from Einsiedeln Abbey and 43 km from KKL Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne.

It's mostly a ski-town, located in a steep valley with multiple gondolas leading up either the northern (to Illgau) or southern ridge (to Stoos) to nearby towns.
For the adventurous, there are paths to hike up the cliffs on either side, or go below the surface at the Holloch cave. There are more relaxing trails in the canyon as well, like the Witz-wanderweg from Stoos to Muotathal.
At the far end is a husky facility that hosts cute tours for dog-lovers.

Okay, it is not very luxurious but great value for money.
Okay, it is not very luxurious but great value for money. Especially because of friendly staff. Comfy beds, clean place and dinner was a good plate home cooked. Beautifully located, good area for walking, cycling and motorcycle.

We stayed in Muotathal to do the hike in the Hölloch caves, which are not far away. The hotel was conveniently located and very comfortable - and if we would decide to visit the area again, we would have no hesitation in booking at the Gasthaus Post again.
Claudia and the team were friendly and helpful. And the breakfasts and dinners we had at the hotel were very good.
We also travelled with our dog, who felt equally comfortable in the room!
Can't say enough good things about the singles room experience. Sleek, modern design in a cozy cottage town with an automated sun-roof for stargazing right above the bed. Also comes with saunas with indoor/outdoor rest areas. You can really tell this place was built very recently!
The husky tours are also a must-see if you're staying here, if you've come this far to the far corner of Muotathal you're probably here for the dogs too :)
The location in general is the best thing about this hotel. The staff were very busy as there were lots of local people eating there when we arrived on a Friday evening. They were efficient but not overly welcoming - probably because the place was busy.
Location is beautiful and view around the hotel is amazing. Very easy access from last bus stop.
They gave early checkin since I had plan for a day hike at Stoos. Also a very nice restaurant on ground floor.
Staff was very welcoming and supportive.
