Set in a former brewery from the 18th century, this hotel is only a 15-minute walk away from the Old Town of Neuchâtel.

the place is an older home, so it's very nice, the owners are very nice. Breakfast is good, it's a beautiful place to stay, very close to central places.
Hôtel des Arts is conveniently located just 656 feet from the lake, near the center of Neuchâtel and the funicular railway which will take you to the train station in 3 minutes. Rooms have free Wi-Fi....

It was conveniently located near the city center, and well connected to HB and other buses.
It offered a guest ticket that allowed for many free activities (including the travel to and from).
Located in the foothills of the Jura Mountains, the elegant Hotel Les Vieux Toits in Hauterive is surrounded by vineyards. It offers free Wi-Fi and serves light meals.

When we stayed (Jan 2025) we received the Neuchâtel Tourist Card from our accommodation which gave free access to museums and public transport. A great positive surprise. We realised there is so much to see and visit in and around Neuchâtel. Will definitely have to come back. We liked the nice atmosphere in the down, the good brasseries, the many high level museums.

It was an Amarcord thing for me, to re-visit the place where I used to live as a student in my twenties.
Lots of changes, I liked the old Swiss style.
Charming restaurants, plenty of café.
Very good but extremely expensive train system, buy your tickets well in advance.

The lakeside walk is beautiful, with Alps on the far side.
The lakeside walk is beautiful, with Alps on the far side. The architecture of the old Town is beautiful. There are grocery stores, pharmacies, gift shops, dress shops, cheese shops, chocolate shops, cafés and restaurants within very easy walking distance everywhere between the lake and the famous Collegiale where Reformer William Farrell once preached. The central Marché is an especially picturesque spot for a coffee or a meal at one of its many cafés. There is a funicular to Chaumont and its charming Petite Hotel which serves excellent food. Next to it is a zip line fun park for kids and playground for littles.
The Neuchâtel museum is worth a visit. 2 lakeside restaurants with outside eating are great: Beau Rivage and Waves. Boats to other towns around the 3 lakes are fun and easy to book.

Breakfast was great. Coffee in rooms was great.
Breakfast was great. Coffee in rooms was great. Sixth floor room/attic was horrible. Can’t stand up in 1/3 of the room, portable AC loud and vented through opening in the roof (let’s hot air in). Terrible room. Other five floors looked lovely. This was not a double. It was a mini double

A fabulous bedroom , beds ,bar / kitchette dinning table area, large TV, wifi, a beautiful shower. The hotel is very central, near the shops, fabulous crepe cafe, a short distance from the lake,.When staying in the hotel we all received a book of tourist tickets. This was a lovely touch & enabled the family to partake in more local attractions. Boat trips, museums etc.
Breathtaking view!
I stayed in Annex. The room was comfortable and had all the required stuff to make the stay comfortable. The view from the room was breathtakingly beautiful. One can see the mountains, the lake, and the houses below. It was picture-perfect. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The location is great with easy access to train and bus from the hotel.
Standard city hotel. Good location close to everything. We had rooms facing the back side - view is ok and quiet. Was reasonably priced in comparison to the others. Absolutely ok for a 1 night stay and exploring the city
Exceptionally friendly staff. I haven't received such a warm welcome in Switzerland before. Congrats!
The rooftop bar is just beautiful. We loved spending time up there.
