I needed a room for one night and that was it. I did not expect a five star hotel, only room, bed and restaurant. Hotel persons was helpful and restaurant was good, at least the portions was big! Breakfast was not available in Saturday, but lady gave me some sandwich for breakfast in the evening.

The Hotel Acquarello is located in the Old Town of Lugano, right at the lower terminus of the funicular connecting the centre to the main railway station.

Very comfortable and nice hotel in the heart of Lugano, room very clean and quiet. The railway station is few steps away, it takes 5 minutes by foot (downhill) and 1 min with the cable car that is located just beside the the hotel entrance. I would definitely recommended the hotel for a very pleasant stay in Lugano!

The ambiance is very Italian and the hotel with its restaurants are very beautiful. The staff is professional and nice. The hotel is smack in the center of Lugano. The rooms could be made more charming to match the restaurants, although they work well.

This is a perfect hotel for a visit to Lugano. Very centrally located, it provides excellent facilities. The staff is very friendly. Overall a very nice experience and I would definitely recommend the hotel to anybody visiting Lugano.
