We were a group of 4 ladies - 3 adult daughters with an elderly mum. The four of us shared a room so I guess it makes it value for money. All of the Fijian staff were beyond friendly and gave the place a great atmosphere. The cocktails were wonderful and they had entertainment with dinner some nights. The 3pm complimentary cocktail and canapes were a lovely touch. I have stayed at several hotels around Muri lagoon, mostly 5 star and I liked the Muri Beach Hotel as the restaurant is between the pool and the beach so it has a practical layout and the beach feels more private here opposed to further towards the Nautilus which is busier and feels like more of a walkway. There were SUP boards, kayaks and snorkel gear which we used and the restaurant was good especially the freshly caught tuna sashimi followed by a cold coconut water, divine! I would come back here it has everything you need, it doesn't have 'bougee' bedrooms but we didn't spend a lot of time in the rooms so that didn't matter and the other positives mean I would stay here next time as the location and other amenities including a 24hrs gift shop made for a fantastic stay. I forgot to mention FREE WIFI!!! That was so helpful especially if you need to do the odd work email. I can't wait to come back!!!

Avana apartments are beautifully located and the staff are wonderful but their premises are a bit run down and we had a problem with ants and mice , if you can get over that it was fine , great pool and great fishing from the private jetty

Villa was perfect, great parking, great rooms and facilities. Right by Muri night markets and other eateries - but far enough inland to get some privacy. One of the lights in a room went out, called the 24hr service number and someone was sent out and issue was fixed all within the hour. Also, they do have room service available which we were really grateful for as we were busy everyday with a family event. Grateful to Liana for helping us out during our stay. Loved our time here.

We originally had booked Moana Sands Beachfront Studio villa for one night , on our return from Aitutaki as a place to stay before flying home to UK. Leilani ( manager) sent me a lovely email offering us an upgrade to a luxury studio room and a free late check out in their other Moana Sands Lagoon Resort , in Muri , just down the road . We were thrilled to have this opportunity , and it helped them with another booking for someone else that was staying longer at the beachfront villas studio. We were impressed with Moana Sands Lagoon Resort : every member of staff who passed us or spoke to us were so friendly and welcoming. Our room looked out on pool and seafront , with its little patio area with seating. Nice touch to have a free use of water sports equipment : so much choice of flippers snorkels , reef shoes to borrow ( and obviously wash out & put back after !). Our room had lovely modern coastal decor, huge shower , very comfy king bed and fridge with milk water and tea , coffee etc . Continental Breakfast was with cost of room but other nice menu options to order . Lagoon is stunning , great snorkelling and gorgeous beach. We ate at their restaurant on site and the food was just superb : fillet steak was so tender , the best steak we had in years. Vai ( waitress) was efficient and so helpful . Thank you to reception staff but extra special thank you to Leilani. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful property! The room was stunning and well equipped. A great size too! The location was fantastic, gorgeous views of the lagoon and infinity pool from our room. Some great restaurants and cafe close by, as well as a store and scooter hire. Everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!
