This place was perfect. It’s location in central to all the sites. Though it is the staff that makes this place amazing! They were so welcoming and accommodating.

The host was very welcoming and even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. The accommodation was very high standard and even though temperatures outside was -16 the room was really warm and cozy. I would highly recommend this place for Pingyao visit as it was also great central location.

The location was perfect—situated within the ancient town, but not on the busiest street, yet still just a short distance away. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated in an ancient style. There was no noise at night, allowing for a peaceful stay.

It was wonderful to stay in a historic building in a historic town. The property is well designed, and it’s a peaceful haven away from bustling streets of Pingyao. The staff went out of their way to assist us whether it was to help us with luggage or to help us book train tickets. We will like to commend Crystal and Leo for making our visit very comfortable.

The city is undeniably beautiful and feels like a living museum, perfectly preserved in time. However, it’s very touristy, with shops that all seem to offer the same souvenirs, making it feel like a true tourist trap. It’s worth a quick visit, but I wouldn’t recommend spending too much time there.
Additionally, I was disturbed to see many pigs and other animals kept in small quarters in some stores. If you’re sensitive to animal welfare issues, this may be hard to stomach. Overall, while the city has its charm, be mindful of its tourist-centric nature.

Beautiful ancient city, and you still can feel the daily normal leaving of its inhabitants. Liked the most to have 99.9999% chinese tourist at this time of the year, Mid March. Only 4 westerners encountered. Chinese History at its best. Lots of historical places to visit and learn from ancient China. Unmissable for local and foreigner travellers.

Incredibly beautiful town, totally made up of traditional Chinese architecture (at least on the main streets). You can buy a ticket that allows entry into many of the sites, including the Draft Bank, Temple of the City God, Confucius Temple and so many more, and then spend a day wandering around exploring them as you come across them. (Note that some of the smaller ones have almost no English signs, so it can be difficult to know what they are!). We bought the ticket from a window nearby (1 minute east) of the draft bank, but there may be other places. It's also interesting to go up the City Walls and see the town from above.

Amazing place to stay. The location is excellent. This is a beautiful traditional Chinese hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive, specially Alice, ensuring our comfort all the time. Upon our arrival we had a welcome gift. The continental breakfast was good. The hotel also offers you transfer service from the train station. Nice experience.
The hotel is lovely, in a traditional courtyard-style house. It is beside the east gate, just inside the ancient town, so the location is great. They collected us from the train station and gave us lots of tips on places to visit and eat. Highly recommended.
A magnificent hotel, ideally located. The staff is lovely and very kind. The rooms are comfortable, and you sleep well. The breakfast and restaurant menu are excellent. I highly recommend it. Thank you very much for this wonderful
The best decision to stay in this hotel. The owner is very hospitable. She helped us with the reservation for theatre, taxi booking and many more. The room and the location of the hotel are superb! Will surely stay here again
