Great location, most of the staff was very nice and accommodating. There were some issues that were addressed quickly. It is two blocks away from the main square and just two houses down from the museum of La Pola. Some of the rooms were spacious and with nice details.

Guaduas is a beautiful town with historical significance due to its location near the port of Honda; there are fun activities and sites to visit like the lookouts of la Capira and Aguaclara, this last one requires hiring transport to get there (you may want to check weather conditions before going, as sometimes it gets cloudy). The mandatory stop is the Museum of La Pola, a historical figure which was born in the city; donations are welcome to keep the place running. You should stop by the Versalles waterfall, but it is not recommended to swim there due to certain conditions upstream that have affected the quality of the water. For the ones looking for adventure, you can do paragliding and four wheelers; as usual, please check that you are offered complete information before signing any waivers if doing these activities (check for road worthy certificates for the four wheelers and certificates for the paragliding instructors). At the main square you will find local food of great quality, but service tends to be slow at peak hours due to the volume of visitors. For international travelers, it is highly recommended to have cash, as sometimes ATMs won't work with foreign banks (sometimes it is luck of the draw) or the surcharge for using them is high (you can contact your bank when returning to have these fees reimbursed). Cell phone coverage in the area varies depending on the phone company, but wifi at hotels is good and usually free.

This is a charming town with an interesting historic downtown where you can learn more about the history of the Spanish colony, but also the history of the independent movements against it. The weather is very pleasant, and you can tan in the afternoon and relax at night because it is not too hot. The town has also outdoor experiences, such as Piedra Capira (the best sighting point in Colombia in my opinion) and the "royal road," the remains of the colonial path connecting Honda and Bogota (Santafe).

Small town with a nice central plaza, plenty of restaurants, hotels and shops. There is not too much to see and do, except 2-3 places. Some of them, i.e. el Salto de Versalles, is unfortunately poorly maintained and the water is dirty and smells (sewage from towns upstream). Sad that the government does not take more control of these sites and develops them into better places for tourism, which would benefit the area and its people a lot more.

Nobody was waiting for us to check in. We had to call the number of the hotel multiple times and then wake up someone in room number 5 to let us in; this is not acceptable for arrival. The hotel was dirty and is way overpriced. There's no blackout in the window so you the sun wakes you up early. The beds are uncomfortable and the neighborhood smells like chickens. The pool area across the street looks nice, but we didn't use it. No soap was provided.
The hotel is new, and the furnishings and decorations are beautiful. The bathroom tiling is gorgeous. The staff were very helpful and always did what they could you accommodate me. The restaurant food was great, and the cocktails were super delicious. The breakfast was also amazing!!!
