Location being right on the beach is what drew us in. And that was pretty spectacular. Our room was very tiny with a double bed and slanted side table and shelf for some storage.
It’s a very rustic place.
The breakfast was good and the owners were very nice.

Magic across the board! Amazing location, views and staff! The room was large, clean and the beds were comfy. The hammock on the patio was dreamy and the passing monkeys were an added bonus. Will be back again!
The epic sunsets were the icing on the cake!

I got Covid at your property. The water in the pool and shower smelled like sewage.

The breakfast was 10/10 and the chef serving breakfast was always very kind! The pool was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. They also have another very good chef there that does dinners most nights of the week which we really enjoyed.

I love everything about Esh, it's an exceptional place. The staff provides outstanding service and creates an atmosphere of genuine warmth and hospitality. The food is exquisite, each dish clearly prepared with love and attention to detail. I'm a lover of rainy weather, and my husband also appreciates rainy days, we found the experience especially romantic, spent a quiet afternoon at the restaurant, sipping hot chocolate while watching the rain fall gently over the pool. It was a moment of calm and beauty that made our stay truly special.

We loved the location we stayed in - it was perfect for the two of us.
Besides buying fruit from the road vendors, and having local street food whenever spotted in La Garza, we ate at Rosi's Soda Tica in Nosara, and Soda la Peria in Samara.
Getting around Garza was pleasant as everything is walking distance.
If you want tranquility, low maintenance and somewhat self-sustainability, Playa Garaza may be the place for you.

Garza is a very quiet beach that serves as the launching point for most fishing trips in the area. It was fascinating to watch the small tenders moving people back and forth to the fishing boats and catamarans. There are two stores off the highway and several restaurants ranging from a high end, overpriced place to several soda ticas serving typical Costa Rican food of rice, black beans, salad and protein (fish, chicken or beef).
