Nazareth’s place is a true gem, we spend a couple of days in the nature, saw a lot of birds and enjoyed the water from the river that goes across the property. It was great to relax and get away from the business of the city. The house was the exactly as the pictures, everything was clean and had everything that we need it! We spend a lot of time in the terrace enjoying the trees and nature. Guapiles is 10 min away driving, that was good to pick up food or just had food order in by uber eats, that was convinient.
We will definitely stay again in La Quintanesesncia!!

This was a perfect place to stop on the way to Tortuga Road. The owner‘s wife is an artist and her artwork is everywhere, which, makes the place exquisitely beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. A few things to note. The kind owner, Jose, does not speak English, but with pidgin English and pidgin Spanish and Google translator, we did fine. Also, there is no hot water. But we were here for an overnight and it was no big deal. Finally, although the place is nestled in a patch of practically jungle, You can hear highway noise and some noise from surrounding businesses. It was not bothersome enough for us to write this place anything but wonderful!

Nice to break up the drive between Puerto Viejo and our next location. The family room is on a separate property from the Chocolate Lodge. Next to a small agriculture property, has a stream flowing outside, and an empty pool. Large covered open area for parking and cooking.

This is a very interesting property to stay at. I enjoyed staying at a local farm with a local family. The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was great. George was a wonderful host. It is a little off the beaten path and the last bit of road to get there becomes pretty bumpy. We had a small 2WD suv and were fine.
Definitely a different experience. Very rustic property, but perfectly comfortable room. You have your own little lodge instead of a room. Really cool and fun. If you enjoy staying at a local family run place you will enjoy it here.
Wish we had more time to stay, just one night on the way to Parque Nacional Tortuguero.

We were in town from about 5pm until 9:30am the next day. I don't have a great knowledge of the city itself. However, I will say that the food at the outdoor food court that the hosts recommended was outstanding!!
