I liked how quite it was. You could see all the stars in the skies and hear lots of crickets at night. The host was exceptionally attentive and welcoming.

Nice hotel with a lovely garden and pool. The room was spacious and clean but our view was not one for in the books. We looked out over outbuildings and a sort of construction site.
Good breakfast and diner but the staff was very focused on the French guests, which made us feel unseen at times.

This hidden gem in nature was amazing.
We loved absolutely everything.
Kene, the recepcionist, was amazing. His kindness and love for his job were noticeable. Him and all the staff made our stay unforgettable.
The food was so tasty and great service.
The cabins are very clean and well looked after.
The location is awesome, with a lot of open space in nature, a lot of birds to see.
Not far from the accommodation (less than 10 minutes drive) were activities for canoying, ziplining, and excursions to the Leona waterfall.
A million thanks for everything 🙏

After two weeks of travelling around in Costa Rica, we arrived at Rincon de la Vieja and we’ve never felt as home as we did here. Loved everything about this place and enjoyed the company of the resident dogs Blue and Lily who weren’t shy to ask for a good cuddle from guests.😉 We absolutely recommend this B&B!

On a family farm this was a lovely cabin. Spacious room with a good sized comfortable bed and nice bathroom. They have a lovely decking area at the front to watch the birds. There is no noise at night.
The family made us very welcome. The cabin is on the road to the national park and very close to La Leona waterfall, a very popular tourist attraction. It is ideal for visits to both, but especially the National park, Rincon de La Vieja .

Our stay was an exceptional experience. Roger and Rose were super kind and helpful giving ideas for places to visit, where to eat etc. One of the highlights was the breakfast, every day with fresh fruit juice and varied costarican food. Malekus is located in a stunning location surrounded by nature at its best. Definitively highly recommendable!!

Louis was awesome. Very helpful and friendly. The lady who served breakfast (April 24 and 25) was not very friendly to us and actually refused to serve us (she made Louis do it), as we asked a question about a word on the menu we did not understand (our Spanish is a work in progress, but we try very hard to communicate). She didn’t try at all to communicate with us and refused to serve us herself those 2 mornings. April 26 and 27, the gal who was serving breakfast was much nicer. The location is not the best for late night walking, but fine during the day. Very quiet and secure at the hotel itself.
