Beautiful well maintained garden with many flowers and birds. Staff were excellent especially the front desk Mark. He is very friendly and helpful. I have been to this hotel three years in a row. It is the place to watch and photograph quetzals as the name suggested.

It's a wooden shack on 2850m. In the evening it can get chilly. There is a fireplace in the main room by the bedrooms, just need to make sure you have the wood. The host is a cool guy, prepares the breakfast in the morning. I only had a quick stay, but the property with the land is big, and there are hiking trails around.

Unique place to stay in the center of Copley. Unit across the fish pond from the restaurant of the organic farm. Large size room with ample space for up to 3 adults (our party consisted of only two adults). Considering that the nights get quite cold in this area, the room kept a reasonable temperature over night, with thick blankets provided. Reasonably warm water for a good morning shower (which is a big plus, since it is not always the case in other properties in the area). Pleasant environment with nice staff members (family run place). Possibility to eat in the restaurant whereby the trout comes fresh from the fish pond.
Located in Copey, Curuba Lodge provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. Some units include a seating area and/or a balcony.

The breakfast options were fabulous. The dinners were excellent. Very fresh, simple, and tasty. The hosts were so accommodating and always wanting to help, it was very comfortable being there.
The hosts also set up a birding tour with a local guide and we were able to actually see a quetzal!

The lodge is right next to the forest with several walking paths to explore for different levels of difficulty. Tres de Junio is also centrally located between San Gerardo and Santa Maria de Dota, thus making it relatively quick a visit to both as well as other National Parks and trekkings (Tapanti, Los Quetzales and Cerro de la Muerte). Plan for at least 3 nights stay.
