This elegant hotel offers soundproofed rooms and a restaurant serving Baden specialities. It is a 10-minute walk from Karlsruhe Castle and a direct tram ride from Karlsruhe Central Station.

We stayed in this hotel last December when it was named as Achat Hotel. Early 2025 its name is changed as The Q Quadro City Hotel. I think the new management cancelled some facilities, such as Coffee machine with capsules and bottles of water. Almost every hotel with this grade uses note cards to hang on doors, in order to get room cleaned or to say " do not disturb" . But here, the hotel guests are instructed to tell the reception to get their rooms cleaned before 08.30 a.m . If not , "no cleaning". That's absurd for an hotel with a price above the average . Nevetheless, it has a very good location and warm atmosphere. Whenever I would come to Karlsruhe, I would probably stay here again.

This small hotel in Karlsruhe city centre offers bright rooms, free WiFi and a daily breakfast buffet. The Badisches Staatstheater theatre is a 5-minute walk away.

Beds were not initially separated as we required 2 single beds. The staff was nice to separate them and provide additional covers. All the staff was very nice and helpful, specially the person of the night shift and the one who let us one additional hour without paying. The breakfast was very nice and delicious with different options.

The experience of visiting Karsluhe during X mas time is magical. Make sure check out all X mas markets, including Children's market where the characters of fairy tales come "alive". The main town square is a huge X mas town. I would advise to see the market during daytime and evening when the lights make everything so beautiful. There were different festive areas in the city, including big skating ring, with lots of lights. Make sure check city's website about X mas markets.

I needed easy access to Heidelberg, Mannheim and Pforzheim, and Karlsruhe made the perfect base of operations. I had visited KA in 2008, and the city is as beautiful and vibrant as I remembered it. The elegant, modern InterCity hotel is a very short walk from the main train station - voila! I love Karlsruhe; I hope to return.

Karlsruhe was selected for us to have a rest stop as it seemed to have not a lot to offer but an excellent place to rest. We were not disappointed. The allied airforce urban clearances of the 1940's have enabled a great city for walking and biking and the city spaces are open and pleasant with an interesting mix of rebuilt old architecture and newer styles. Food was easy to locate for the traveller, even on a Sunday when most German business's remain closed. We left the city relaxed and refreshed, ready to face more weeks of travel in Germany.

The royal palace and its surrounding park and federal...

The royal palace and its surrounding park and federal offices are worth visiting. Also the historic main square with its pyramid is a well designed place. There is a lot of public art and small little plates on posts with highly critical comments on the political reality in Germany - amazing. Downtown is kind of frozen in the 1970s and the main pedestrian zone is too big for this town size. The street car is underground which reduced the street vibrancy of the Kaiserstrasse. Most stores and restaurants are outdated. The pedestrianized side streets are without life. Majority of buildings is from the 1960s and 1970s and appear unkept and rundown. Somehow Karlsruhe is an odd place. Getting around by car without the navigation on is a challange.

For city travel I often book Novotel as I have never been disappointed in the last 20+ years. The same here. Hotel room newly renovated and very nicely done. Breakfast very good standard for Novotel chain, while I have seen better as well. Employees very friendly and attentive, also standard for Novotel. In summary I can highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is very close to a metro station (estimate 100m from Hotel entrance) with only 2 stops to city center. So that access to the city center or any other part is really easy from here.

This is the best quality/price experience I've ever seen in the entire Germany. Nava, the lady in charge with the bookings, is the most professional receptionist I've e ever met in my 10 years experience with booking.com. So if you are searching for a place in Karlsruhe near the train/bus station, please look no further. They are the best option

This is not a regular Ibis. A much older hotel building has been spruced up with the Ibis decorative standard, so you get the best of both worlds - bigger rooms with the usual Ibis modular shower/toilet added in.
