The hotel is beautiful with an antique style. It has a historical energy and you feel it when in there.
The room was big enough for one person, it had a beautiful view on the garden.
A big plus for the breakfast, many options including a vegan one.

Best bed and pillows of our two weeks in Europe! Almost like home. And truly the largest breakfast buffet we have seen in 6 years! It was amazing! What a gem this hotel is. Convenient walk from the train, easy to walk to the Fine Art Gallery and the Palace Museum. Great location. Friendly helpful staff. They kept our luggage all day after our check out until our evening train. My photo is a view from our windows of the street scene.

I stayed in this hotel last year, and we had a better room. This time the room is a bit run down. The tiles and the door frame in the bathroom are damaged. Otherwise the stay was decent. There were parking spaces directly outside of the hotel, so if you are lucky you will find good parking. Also close to the U-bahn, so all in all good value and convenient enough to the public transportation. And free breakfast.

The experience of visiting Karsluhe during X mas time is magical. Make sure check out all X mas markets, including Children's market where the characters of fairy tales come "alive". The main town square is a huge X mas town. I would advise to see the market during daytime and evening when the lights make everything so beautiful. There were different festive areas in the city, including big skating ring, with lots of lights. Make sure check city's website about X mas markets.

I needed easy access to Heidelberg, Mannheim and Pforzheim, and Karlsruhe made the perfect base of operations. I had visited KA in 2008, and the city is as beautiful and vibrant as I remembered it. The elegant, modern InterCity hotel is a very short walk from the main train station - voila! I love Karlsruhe; I hope to return.

Karlsruhe was selected for us to have a rest stop as it seemed to have not a lot to offer but an excellent place to rest. We were not disappointed. The allied airforce urban clearances of the 1940's have enabled a great city for walking and biking and the city spaces are open and pleasant with an interesting mix of rebuilt old architecture and newer styles. Food was easy to locate for the traveller, even on a Sunday when most German business's remain closed. We left the city relaxed and refreshed, ready to face more weeks of travel in Germany.

The royal palace and its surrounding park and federal...
The royal palace and its surrounding park and federal offices are worth visiting. Also the historic main square with its pyramid is a well designed place. There is a lot of public art and small little plates on posts with highly critical comments on the political reality in Germany - amazing. Downtown is kind of frozen in the 1970s and the main pedestrian zone is too big for this town size. The street car is underground which reduced the street vibrancy of the Kaiserstrasse. Most stores and restaurants are outdated. The pedestrianized side streets are without life. Majority of buildings is from the 1960s and 1970s and appear unkept and rundown. Somehow Karlsruhe is an odd place. Getting around by car without the navigation on is a challange.

For city travel I often book Novotel as I have never been disappointed in the last 20+ years. The same here. Hotel room newly renovated and very nicely done. Breakfast very good standard for Novotel chain, while I have seen better as well. Employees very friendly and attentive, also standard for Novotel. In summary I can highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is very close to a metro station (estimate 100m from Hotel entrance) with only 2 stops to city center. So that access to the city center or any other part is really easy from here.
This is the best quality/price experience I've ever seen in the entire Germany. Nava, the lady in charge with the bookings, is the most professional receptionist I've e ever met in my 10 years experience with booking.com.
So if you are searching for a place in Karlsruhe near the train/bus station, please look no further. They are the best option
Staff at reception were nice, the room was clean, quite big and comfortable. There's a few free parking lots close to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good. There was no extra fee for dog. The hotel is located close to city center.
This is not a regular Ibis. A much older hotel building has been spruced up with the Ibis decorative standard, so you get the best of both worlds - bigger rooms with the usual Ibis modular shower/toilet added in.
