This hotel is a historical half-timbered building in the centre of Sinsheim, 4 minutes from the A6 motorway. Hotel Bär offers free high-speed WiFi.

Such good value, clean, comfortable, lovely breakfast, nice little mini bar, in centre of sinsheim, shops, cafes, takeaways, restaurants. Found Sinsheim nice, it's not a tourist trap, but is clean and functional and has an amazing cafe/chocolate shop everyone should visit for super cake. Fantastic park across the road for those with kids. Great place to stay to visit technic museum. Staff were really helpful with parking, there are a couple of spaces right outside, an underground carpark with a few spaces (but quite tight to get in and out). Plus they give ticket for free parking across the road if theirs is all full. Receptionist came outside with me to point it out and gave really detailed instructions.

Hotel Küferschänke is situated in the quiet village of Weiler in Baden-Württemberg, just 200 metres from Steinsberg Castle.

The choice for breakfast was very good and we all found plenty to our liking. The countryside location was convenient to visit Sinsheim museum. Our evening meal in a wine cask was memorable.

    Technik Museum is easy to get to there are two train...

    Technik Museum is easy to get to there are two train stations in the town that make it very easy to get around - we hardly used our car when we were there. We went to Heidlberg which was easy to get around with a stunning funnicular railway and a very nice castle area to investigate! Not much around the area in the evening as it seems to be fairly industrial so glad of our hotel's friendly bar and the large room with a sofa and TV.

    The purpose of my visit to Sinsheim was to visit the Technik...

    The purpose of my visit to Sinsheim was to visit the Technik Museum. which is about one stop from the main station. If you are like me and not up to speed when it comes app's on your phone Sinsheim has no ticket office at the station only a machine a problem if you need to book a ticket to another German city etc. The ticket machine was easy to work but I could not work out how to get a return ticket only a single. I needed a single on my return but the Museum station ticket machine is sited in a bad position and is not protected from the elements (The sun was shining and I could not read the screen).The Museum is great and I spent today's looking around.

    We visited the technical museum only, no time for the city...

    We visited the technical museum only, no time for the city itself. I was so pleased from my previous visit I made this one the birthday present to my 7-year old nephew. The museum gets little older over time, but the atmosphere remains and is superb!

    Sinsheim is a good destination for lovers of cars,...

    Sinsheim is a good destination for lovers of cars, engineering and/or thermal spas. The museums are stunning and and vast and you can easily spend a day or two there. The large thermal spa is lovely for a relaxig day out. However, it is geared towards adults so if you come with family you will need to go on the Saturdays. There are some historic sights in the area, a very nice place to go to is Burg Steinsfurt. Sinsheim is also a good destination for a stopover, for shopping or nice food.

    Family run hotel, Restaurant was excellent, unique setting in oak wine barrels, great food and local wines served with ambiance ! Traditional German breakfast was perfect, with choice of freshly cooked fare prepared by attentive and helpful Kellner ! Location is quiet traditional village with overlooking castle and vineyards. Also very convenient for the Tech Museum in Sinsheim, which was also a fantastic place to visit.

    Breakfast was really nice with lots of choice, good restaurant and a nice bar area. Room size was great with plenty of lounging space. The staff were all lovely - very friendly and helpful with everything. Good road and train links and right next door to the Sinsheim Technik Museum.

    Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms appear to have been refurbished and there is an excelkent pizza restaurant and bar within the hotel. Located central in Sinsheim with a basement garage for our motorbikes. Excellent I will stay again if in the area.
