Room size was great and location for our road trip. Staff were really friendly and helpful
Beds very comfy and pillows too
Quiet even though on the junction
Restaurant good - evening meals nice (a little salty for our taste ) but lovely options - can sell out so go early!
Breakfast great - good choice

We especially enjoyed the view of the harbor from the deck of our fifth floor room. The breakfast was also excellent.

Comfortable, well furnished apartment in central Hirtshals. A quick walk from the train station (but do be aware if you are coming by ferry and on foot it is an almost hours walk without a good public transportation option). Everything was very clean and well organized. Bedding and towels were provided.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Hirtshals this weekend is $372 or, for a 4-star hotel, $223. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Hirtshals for this weekend cost around $437 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).

It’s a small harbour town - not a place you would make a special effort to go to as a tourist, but it has a pleasant hotel with a nice terrace, a couple of decent restaurants and shops for essential groceries. If you are in Hirtshals for the ferry, you might like to stop by for a bite to eat or a drink on a terrace. The nearby beaches are beautiful and really worth a visit - especially if you have dogs!

This place was perfect for an overnight stay from coming from the ferry and leaving the next day to travel onwards to our destination a 10 hour drive further to the south-west. We found it especially useful that the bedroom had a window that could open but it was on the side the wind came from so it blew into the room a lot. It would have been nice if the windows on the other side of the room had the possibility to open, too, so we could choose which ones to open, according to the wind direction.
There was a lounge with TV and a big corner sofa and a kitchen with a dining table downstairs.
There was also a cozy little entrance area with a round table to play games and a very comfy hanging chair I loved to sit in. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and clean. On top of the stairs is another toilet which makes it easier for toilet use in the night for the occupants of the upstairs bedrooms. There is also a bedroom on ground level, next to the lounge and kitchen.
We had a meal on the ferry, so we did not need to go out for dinner in the evening but from other visits to Hirtshals I know there are eating places around. Just check for the season because they are not all open the whole year round, especially between Christmas and the New Year you might be stuck because most places are closed at 'romjul'.

A great place to stay when travelling between Denmark and Norway. A 2 minute drive to the ferry terminal.
Dinner had a good selection and was delightful, with excellent service.
The breakfast had everything you could need and was beautifully presented and fresh.

I travelled through a part of Hirtshals to the harbour so I didn't see much of it. But my staying in Tornby Guesthouse for two nights made my journey worth while! You can see some photo's of the Tornby Guesthouse.

Comfortable little house next to a bigger property where the owners live. It is 10 minutes drive to the ferry terminal in Hirtshals, so very convenient for it. Everything that one may need in the kitchen, nice sitting room with jenga for the kids, comfortable beds on the top floor.
We spent one night at the Munch Hotel and found it to be a very lovely and calm place. We were pleasantly surprised by the serene and natural environment. We highly recommend this hotel as well as the breakfast, which was very good. We slept very well and hope to return one day.
